The little elf continued to speak, "Sit down God, I do not intend to keep you standing in my presence."
I glared at the elf, unable to understand her previous words. If she was the Demon God, then who was locked in the seal? Did the Demon God swap identities? I let my mind run wild for a while before I spoke, "Why do you have that title? Who are you... really?"
Fear and anxiety were the two emotions that crossed my mind. If she were to be my foe, I would inevitably die. I could tell that she didn't give it her all when she slapped me. A single punch from this child, could kill me. I stood on my guard, ready to face her.
The child spoke, "Do not worry, I am not what you think me to be. I am in fact, the God of the Elves. The statue in this village, shows my previous body. I apologise for the slap, but I believe it was necessary to prove my Godhood."
After hearing these words, I calmed down. The muscles in my body relaxed as I began trusting this child. However, what didn't make sense was how she was the God of two races. A single capable person is selected from each species to represent their race. The girl looked to be an elf, however, she claimed to be the God of the demons. What was she?
The elf continued, "Sit down and I'll explain the story behind the seal."
I sat on a tall rock slab placed in front of the desk.
The elf continued, "We don't normally cut trees, and hence I apologise for the setup. Now, to begin, I shall tell you everything you need to know."
After a momentary pause, she continued speaking. "I was once the Queen of the Elves. I served the people of this world as their God. One day, a portal opened and engulfed the whole planet by the hour. I was too late to take action, and because of that, this world was trapped into the underworld. In the underworld, a being wished to capture our race, he wished to use them as puppets; as his pawns. That being, was the original Demon God. To get rid of him, I, along with my people, fought an all out battle for the survival of our race. Each arrow that we shot, got rid of a demon spawned. However, the main problem during the battle was the number. The demons outnumbered us 200 to 1. Nonetheless, we still fought the tiring battle.
During the battle, the Demon God had managed to turn a few of us into demons, however, we still won in the end. We won, and yet we faced losses. The first loss was the fact that I was cursed; cursed with immortality. Before I managed to seal away the Demon God during the near end of the battle, he managed to curse me. The curse granted me immortality, but at the price of looking like a child for all eternity. Do you know how bad that feels?! The freakin' bastard!! This time I'll ensure he dies for good!"
After clearing her throat and regaining her composure, the elf continued, "The second loss that our elven race faced was the people we lost. Over half our army had died, and the demons still existed in large numbers. After the battle, the demons which weren't sealed, had dispersed. We still faced the threat of demons, but we dealt with that matter over the years. This incident happened 700 years ago.
The reason I told you this, was to make sure you roughly understood my age. Even in terms of elven age, I'm quite old. I hope that you would prevent calling me a child further on. Is that understood, CHILD?"
She emphasised on the word 'child' to remind me of the time I had used it. After standing back up, I replied, "I understand your story, and the events of this world. Now that you have explained what you needed to, I shall take my leave and train." I wished to hear more about her past, however, training was the first thing that came to my mind.
The elf immediately spoke before I left. "You think I'm done? I still have to explain a lot to a second generation God like you."
She hopped out of her chair, and walked towards the stairs. "Follow me. I'll explain the incidents along the way."
She didn't explain where exactly we were going, however, in the search of knowledge and curiosity, I followed the old, short woman.
After walking down the spiral stairs and exiting the castle, the elf continued, "After I sealed the Demon God, I gained the title Demon God through the system. The title Elf God did not disappear, which made me the only God that possessed two titles of Godhood. Till date, I haven't been able to use the title, but having it ensured that no Demon God emerged while the original one was sealed.
This however, is only the side story to the real thing I wished to mention. As an elder God, I believe it is my duty to mention this....but..."
The cheerful mood she had retained, disappeared. I could see her blank face as she walked stopped after saying the last statement. Her expression was pale, and for a moment, her silence showed her fear. Her expression quickly transitioned into that of anxiety and regret.
I stood next to her, and remained silent, waiting for her to speak further.
The elf continued, "Now, I shall tell you about the day when living became a curse. The day the Evil God slaughtered the Gods."
