Chapter 11 - Murderous Mind

"Oh? That might have something to do with your condition. I will send you there to see if there is any cure to your situation." Heng Tan smiled brightly as he extended his hand to lift Tang Peng onto the sword.

Tang Peng walked over and allowed himself to be lifted by Heng Tan. There was nothing abnormal on the outside appearance of Heng Tan, but Tang Peng's gut feeling was growing wilder the closer he got to Heng Tan.

"Here. You can sit in front." Heng Tan moved back a little to let Tang Peng be the one in front. As Tang Peng rode on the sword, he felt a bit nervous. He felt that he was too impulsive. Maybe he should have walked by himself to his destination.

"Well? Start leading." Heng Tan gently urged Tang Peng to tell him the direction. Even though his voice made Tang Peng feel extremely uncomfortable, he still pointed to the right.

The sword was lifted high up in the air all of a sudden, as it flew towards the right. Tang Peng was relieved that Heng Tan did not suddenly just stop protecting him and kill him straight away. However, he could feel Heng Tan's gaze on his back.

As the sword flew closer and closer to his destination, Tang Peng's palms grew even sweatier. He truly had been too impulsive. Heng Tan could probably detect him if he was hidden, and kill him straight away. Perhaps he could hold on with the talismans, but when they ran out, he was truly dead.

"Stop!" Heng Tan's face turned sour all of the sudden as he stopped the sword from flying further. He could see the boundaries set by the Dragonic Sect! He had already reached the Lang Tian mountains! To think that the cultivator's inheritance was here!

If he intruded into the Dragonic Sect territory, the boundaries would immediately rip him apart. There were no exceptions to outsiders. Their formations were simply too strong for him to handle. Their requirements were even more stringer than theirs. 7.0 potential just to have the chance become a basic disciple. They also possessed superior cultivation materials and manuals.

He had once experienced the power of their sect before in a friendly competition. Just one of their average Rotating Core Level 1 could defeat him, not to mention their prodigies, with all sorts of unique Body Types.

He really wanted to have a legendary inheritance to beat up that Dragonic Sect prodigy Zhou Qing, and wipe that prideful smile he had off his face. However, he was too weak, far too weak to be able to hold his ground against the Dragonic Sect yet.

The malice he had against Tang Peng suddenly dropped to rock bottom. He only sighed, as he let his sword plummet to the ground.

"I'm sorry kid. That's the Dragonic Sect territory. We can't go any further than that." Heng Tan used a serious tone to deliver the message to Tang Peng.

Hearing that, Tang Peng felt extremely relieved. At least Heng Tan would not have any motive to kill him now. However, he had this feeling that Heng Tan was not going to let him go so easily.

"Do you know how much time of mine you wasted? You brought me to this place for nothing. You don't have any value to offer me. You're just a good-for-nothing commoner." Heng Tan slapped Tang Peng violently on the face.

The slap was so hard that it forcibly extracted his healthy teeth from his gums. An extreme pain was applied to Tang Peng's gums, whole he spat out some teeth that had fell out, along with the blood.

"What are you hitting me for?" Even though Tang Peng was angered at this injustice, he knew that his weak body could not compare to cultivators, who could strengthen their body. Therefore, he assumed a submissive attitude towards Heng Tan, who still looked unsatisfied.

"A peasant like you wouldn't see the boundary in front, would you? This is the Eternal Death Formation. It absorbs the potential inside anything that enters to strengthen the Qi concentration inside the Dragonic Sect. You want me to sacrifice myself like that? What a joke." Heng Tan snorted at Tang Peng's inquiry.

"Wait! I have no potential! I might be able to cross the boundary!" Tang Peng was suddenly enlightened on how to convince Heng Tan. Even though he could simply cross the boundary right now, it would be too dangerous without some sort of protection.

"Your idea is very... intriguing. The boundary should be able to allow entry and exit. You go inside first. If it works, just come back out. If it doesn't, like I would care." Heng Tan commanded Tang Peng to follow his instructions, while pointing at the edge of the boundary.

"Fine, fine. If that's what you want Master, I will gladly do it." "Hurry up and shut your trap!" Tang Peng then scurried over to the location where Heng Tan was pointing. Even though he felt a bit of unwillingness, he still crossed through it. He did not feel any different, but Heng Tan was not the same.

"You actually passed through it unscathed? This... this... is simply too ridiculous!" Heng Tan was shocked by Tang Peng's ability. After realising his actions could be seen by Tang Peng, out of shame, he quickly controlled his outburst, and coldly told Tang Peng to come back.

"So, are you impressed?" Tang Peng felt confident enough to stand up to Heng Tan, but Heng Tan slapped him again, albeit softer this time. "Quite impressive. However, your body is too weak for now, so I will give you some protection."

"These talismans were crafted by a master alchemist. One type is the Ninety Nine Heavenly Kicks, which strengthens your legs to the point you can execute ninety nine consecutive kicks without rest. The other is Porcupine's Reflection, which can negate and deflect attacks under the Rotating Core Realm. Just paste them on your body to imbue it with power." Heng Tan took out six talismans from the ring he was wearing to hand it to Tang Peng directly, who pasted them onto his robes first. The talismans could stick surprisingly well.

"This is my insurance. You don't have to contact me. With this, I will know where you are at all times. If you disappear for 3 days, consider yourself as good as dead. When I find you, give me the goods and I will neutralise the Gu." Heng Tan then withdrew a centipede from the ring, and forcibly shoved it down Tang Peng's nose. He could feel the centipede worming deep into his nose, before disappearing.

"Now go back to the boundary, and find that thing for me. Go now, time's ticking." Heng Tan grinned, before he took off with his sword to god knows where. Tang Peng, who had the centipede inside of him, then started to move towards the boundary.

"I can't believe that devious guy would install an insurance. Is there anyway I could deal with it?" Tang Peng lamented. He wanted to keep the legacy for himself, but it seemed more and more that he would not be able to keep it.

Forget it. At least he got past the boundary. Now, he just needed to achieve his goal of reaching his destination. As Tang Peng looked at the arrow on his forearm, he began to laugh at his luck. Up to this point, nothing in this world had been kind to him. Everything would rather scorn him then help him, which was why he found it funny.

After laughing until he ran out of breath, a toothy smile appeared on his face, ever since the incident. "I will live. Live on to see another day! Live to see the dawn with everyone!" Another chance was given yet again. He could not go back any longer after experiencing the thrill and opportunity of this new world. Everything he wished will be achieved!

"Vice Leader! An unknown human like being has just crossed our outer boundary effort alive!" A shout came from outside Long Yuan's cave.

When Long Yuan heard about this, she rubbed her forehead. First, that unreliable guy Tai Qi went to discuss with Liu En at the outer boundary about joining forces to take over the Thousand Arts Sect, but then, he hasn't returned yet. She already sent out five of the elders to look for him, and things were not looking good.

Now, there was a person who could cross their outer boundary. It was designed to suppress any person with potential, up to the Soul Nurture Realm.

The only people who could pass through without any problems were those who had surpassed their humanity, the Astral Projection Realm! There was a huge qualitative change between the Soul Nurture Realm and the Astral Projection Realm, which made Long Yuan worried.

Other than that, only people who did not possess potential in the first place could enter. This was impossible. Even cultivators who had their meridians crippled had a little bit of potential. All humans naturally had potential within them.

This was extremely bad. If the Astral Projection cultivator decided to attack their Dragonic Sect while Tai Qi was still out, they would not be able to put up any defence. They could only wait to be slaughtered.

They could only wait and see if the Astral Projection cultivator would penetrate their inner boundary. It was best not to send any cultivators to meet with that cultivator, since they did not want to provoke such a powerful person.

"Tai Qi, why are you missing when we need you?" Long Yuan lamented, as she laid on the floor, thinking about the various problems of the Dragonic Sect.
