The next day i woke up I was still in Kiantis bed I couldn't see him. Did he even sleep? Then my eyes fell on the couch hidden behind a stack of books on the coffe table. His legs hanging over the side since he was too tall to fit on it properly.
I pulled the blankets off wondering when he had covered me. Slowly I approached the couch his face was relaxed in sleep. Staring down at him still in the same pants from yesterday still bare chested my cheeks went red as my heart pounded.
Scared of this feeling taking over me I stepped away looking around the room. My eyes fell on my bags that someone had repacked and stacked in the corner of the room.
Quietly so as not to wake Kianti I got out some tights and a sports bra since I'd be training I figured they would be the best and wouldn't restrict my movements.
Entering the bathroom a turned on the shower after my episode yesterday the water felt amazing. I closed my eyes sighing.
Suddenly I heard a chuckle from the other side of the shower door.
I stuck my head around the shower as Kianti was leaning against the basin a wide smile on his face.
"Enjoying your shower?"
I scowled.
"I'd enjoy it more if you gave me some privacy."
He smiled.
"Why would I do that?"
He started to undo his pants, I panicked
"What are you doing?"
"Going for a shower what does it look like."
"Can you not wait?"
He dropped his pants. quickly I closed the door.
"It's not like you haven't seen me before."
I growled
"I wasn't exactly looking yesterday."
He opened the door making me turn my back to him.
The shower had two shower heads and enough room for ten people but still just the fact that he was in here with me. My cheeks instantly turned bright red.
I heard him turn on the other shower I couldn't move. I could feel his eyes on me there was no where to go if I tried to leave the shower it would place me right in front of him since the door was on his side.
"Relax Rave it's not like I'm going to pounce on you even though Falc is screaming at me to do just that."
Turning my head just enough so that I could ask.
"Falc?"
He chuckled.
"My wolf."
Despite myself I turned my head more as my eyes met his. The water made his eyes even brighter as he matched my stare.
Slowly his eyes not leaving mine he stepped closer, I remained frozen not being able to push him away not that I wanted to.
His hand moved my hair to the side as he touched my neck. His left hand slowly moved down my skin to my shoulder. He stepped closer his chest now touching my back. My eyes still locked on his as his hand wrapped around my waist resting at my stomach.
Yet closer he stepped I felt myself shudder as his eyes moved to look down studying my naked body.
"So beautiful."
He whispered as he dipped his lips to my neck. Not being able to control myself my hand reached up to grab his hair as I pulled him closer a moan escaping my lips. His hand on my waist travelled lower to my very core. His hardness at my back pulsing as his fingers entered me sending tingles throughout my whole body.
"Ki...."
His body vibrated as his name escaped my lips.
"Mate."
Falc spoke through Ki as his fingers continued to work my core my heart racing as I neared the point of ecstasy.
I felt ki's canines graze my skin.
My hand went to the wall to steady me as his right hand cupped my Brest.
"Mine."
His canines nibbled at my neck I knew he was fighting the urge to mark me. I also knew within my heart that he wouldn't do it til I gave permission and I knew that I could never give it.
Growling he took my lips in his as my core exploded with pleasure. My body shook all over as my legs became jelly. Removing his fingers he Turned and got out grabbing a towel and headed to the door.
"Met me outside and we'll start your training."
Without another word he closed the door behind him. It took me awhile to recover after what had happened. Why didn't I stop him? I knew deep down that even if I wanted to I couldn't have stopped him. My body called to his just as his called to mine.
I couldn't let anything like this happen again next time I might not have the strength to resist him marking me. It wasn't fare to him I didn't want to give him hope that I would change my mind.
Turning off the shower I got dressed and headed outside to met Ki.
The house seemed unusually quiet the only wolf I saw was Drake who smiled as he passed.
"Good morning miss Raven."
I smiled back as he continued on towards Trigons office carrying what looked like enough food to feed three. I sighed as I watched him close the door behind him.
Behind the mansion Ki was talking to another male not as tall but still strongly built. His brown hair highlighted by the sun. His blue eyes not as bright as Kianti's went to me as I neared.
"Rave this is cal my beta."
I couldn't met Ki's eyes after the shower incident so I just looked to Cal.
"It's a pleasure To meet you."
I extended my hand he took it winking.
"Quite the runner aren't you?"
My cheeks went red at his mention of my escape attempt yesterday.
He laughed at my reaction.
"Could've fooled me that you have no wolf you sure run like you do. Ki had to shift just to catch up to you."
I snapped my head to Ki surprised. sure I liked to run but I never realised I was good at it.
Ki's smile showed so much pride at the compliment Cal had given me almost like it proved his words yesterday. However just because I could run fast didn't make me strong.
"Well I'll leave you two to it."
Cal leaned in as he pretended to whisper but was loud enough for Ki to hear.
"Kick his arse for me."
I chuckled. I found myself liking Cal.
"Soon enough she'll have you on your back for being a smart arse."
Cal looked me up and down.
"I wouldn't mind being on my back if she was on top."
To that Ki growled.
"Watch your mouth Cal."
Cal held his hands up in innocence as he backed away.
"Chill bro I was only playing it's not like she's mated."
Ki watched him go his wolf still glaring in Cals direction til he disappeared.
I turned back to Ki.
"You haven't told him?"
Ki returned my look i didn't have to explain what I was talking about as his face darkened.
"What's the point you've made it clear that you do not intend to reciprocate that bond."
His dark look turned into a lustful one as he stepped closer his hand going to my cheek a knowing smile on his lips.
"Unless you've changed your mind."
I scowled I had promised myself that I wouldn't lead him on but he didn't make it easy. Forcing myself I stepped back out of his reach.
"No I haven't changed my mind."
His hand slowly went back to his side his face darkening again.
"Then why would I get their hopes up about finally having another Luna In the pack."
Guilt flooded over me but Ki dismissed the conversation.
"Let's begin, first I need to see what you know so that I can see where you need to improve."
He spent the next hour attacking me I managed to dodge most of his attacks but I also knew he was holding back. Even with him holding back he still managed to put me on my arse every time.
"Enough!"
My heart was pounding my frustration growing.
"What does this prove! Even with fighting skills I'm still no match against other wolves. Even with you not even trying you still kick my arse."
All the feelings that I grew up with came rushing back. Every time me and my sister spared together she beat me. Every time she pinned me to the ground my father gave that disapproving look. Even back then I was a disappointment then when I didn't shift it was just the last straw in his eyes. I was useless there was no point in keeping me around I was weak.
I turned away.
"This is pointless I'll never be strong enough."
I started to walk away but Ki grabbed my hand spinning me around to face him.
"Raven wait."
I stopped. looking to the ground my shoulders slumped in my misery.
"Please hear me out."
I remained silent willing to hear what he had to say. Satisfied I wasn't going to leave he continued.
"Ok yes your not as strong as the average wolf."
I threw up my hands.
"Like I said pointless."
He grabbed my hand in his again as he lifted my chin to look into his eyes.
"If you'll let me finish....it's true your strength isn't very high but strength is not what makes a good fighter."
His words had me knitting my eyebrows in confusion.
"What makes a good fighter is up here."
He pointed to my head.
"And in here."
This time he used my own hand to place it on my heart. His hand still covering my own.
"You must be smarter then your opponent use their strength against them. You are faster then anyone I've ever seen use your speed. Use what you have and you will overcome any opponent you face."
I started to deny his words but he put a finger to my lips.
"Believe in yourself you are not weak you never were. Do not let your past control you, your family are not here. They took your past do not let them take your future."
Ki stepped back.
"Are you ready to try again?"
Slowly I nodded his words giving me a confidence I'd never had before. As I took up a fighting stance a smile spreading across my face.
"More then ready."
This time when we sparred something changed within me. As I moved I began to see things in his fighting style I hadn't seen before. Things like when he punched his foot turned slightly, or when he kicked he took a breath his hip turning revealing which foot he would use.
It wasn't long before I noticed he was no longer holding back he was genuinely fighting me with all his strength.
Three hours later he was panting yet I was barely effected. This was it his stamina was at its end as I waited for the break in his stance.
I had noticed it earlier in the fight just after a certain series of kicks and punches he would blink twice. It was small but maybe I would be fast enough to penetrate his defences. Hell it was worth a try right?
Even with his failing stamina he was still hard to beat I was still waiting for my opening as my own breath came out heavy, however just as I thought it would never happen he started the series of kicks I was waiting for. I blocked the next lot of punches preparing for my opening when there it was.
He blinked I side stepped he blinked again I bent down hands on the ground I flipped kicking him in the chest as he fell backwards I landed on his chest my fist stopping millimetres from his throat. If I'd connected I would have crushed his oesophagus causing him to gasp for air.
He stared up at me a wide grin on his lips. The sound of clapping snapped me out of the moment as I scrambled off him turning towards the sound.
My victory over beating Ki short lived as my eyes fell on the three heading towards us.
Trigon stopped clapping as he neared. Ki flipped to his feet standing in front of me shielding me from the two standing beside Trigon.
I peeked around Ki's body as there stood the man that had banished me. His blond hair so unlike my own was just as long tied back. The hard lines of his face stern as the scar down his cheek stood out in sharp contrast. Next to him stood my sister her eyes like my fathers a beastly yellow like the rest of the moon goddess pack glaring in my direction her hands on her hips. She was taller then me having inherited our fathers height. Her hair blond like his as well. I was the only one that had inherited black hair and green eyes from our mother who had died in child birth when she bore me. It was part of the reason my father hated me. He blamed me for taking his mate away from him.
"Well done my dear it's been awhile since my son has lost a fight maybe now he won't be so cocky when sparring with the rest of the pack."
I remained silent as I watched my father. His lips curved just a little the only indication of a smile he would let show before it disappeared.
"What are they doing here?"
Ki demanded.
"They came here to discuss the business of Raven's banishment."
Ki laughed bitterly.
"You mean her execution if they get their way."
My sister was the first to speak.
"If she didn't want to die she shouldn't have come back here."
"It wasn't her fault I made her come back her life was in danger. I ordered her as an alpha."
My sister laughed.
"Ordered her?"
Her eyes turned to me.
"Oh right she's a mutt now without a pack she's even weaker then before."
It must have been my victory over Ki giving me confidence since In the past I would never stand up to my family but before I could stop myself I growled.
"Come closer and say that you bitch!"
She made to move closer but our father stopped her with his hand on her arm. He glared down at her.
"Enough Shiya!"
His eyes glowed as she pouted stepping back. My father turned his attention back to Ki refusing to even look at me.
"I came here in hopes that you would see sense. If you do not hand Raven..."
He sneered at my name like it disgusted him to even say it as he continued.
"Over I will be forced to contact the council of elders. This could result in war now while our two packs have tolerated each other we have been at peace for many years. Im sure that you would not want to start a war over the life of a human."
Ki growled at the word human it was the ultimate insult. Making it very clear that my inability to shift made me a mere human in his eyes.
As Ki and my father stared each other down it was Trigon who stepped in trying to cut the tension in the air.
"Now now you two while Tharon has made his request very clear we are still in negotiations since your message from Zeld."
My fathers eyes darted to me at the mention of Zelds name wanting to see the hurt look in my eyes at the mention of my old friend.
My father growled in frustration.
"There is nothing to negotiate your lawyers will not find a loop hole. So unless she is mated to this pup of an alpha you will hand her over now!"
Ki's eyes spun to me as I could see them widen in surprise and accusation.
Yes I knew that if it was proven that I was mated to Ki my banishment would be lifted leaving me free to be with the alpha, but it also meant I could never go home. I could never go back to the mountains and the forests. I would be forced to stay with the pack as Luna.
My father caught the exchange his face turning angry.
"No, it can't be true."
My sister oblivious watched my father growl at Ki his anger making his eyes glow.
"What is it daddy?"
My father ignored her as his wolf showed through, ki spun on him his own anger flaring. Though I knew his anger was more towards me then my father.
Their bodies began to change as the shift started.
My fathers wolf completely black stood facing Ki's grey and white one. My father was smaller then Ki but I knew his size meant nothing he wasn't alpha of the moon goddess pack for nothing.
Trigon pulled Shiya back as ki and my father circled each other their growls almost deafening.
I turned to Trigon.
"We have to stop this!"
I started to step forward but Trigon grabbed my arm.
"They will kill you."
I ripped my arm from his.
"I will not be the reason for a war."
Trigon sighed stepping back as I projected my voice to be heard over their growls.
"I will go willingly."
Both of them turned to me, ki bounding to my side staring at me pleading with his eyes.
"I will not sacrifice your pack to save me."
He shifted back as he cupped my face in his hands.
"There's no need. agree to be my mate and legally he can not start a war."
I touched his cheek allowing myself to feel what I had been holding back what seemed like years even though it had only been days.
"You know as well as I that even if i became your mate he would not stop. He will start a war and many will die uselessly. I can't have that on my conscience."
I stepped away as he made to grab my arm but Trigon stopped him.
Drake who had appeared what seemed like out of no where handed both my father now in human form and ki pants.
My father grabbed my arm hard as he started to pull me away.
Ki growled as his eyes glowed he rushed forward pressing his lips to mine.
My father let go stepping back allowing Ki to say good bye.
Pulling back Ki held my face.
"I'm sorry."
Before I or my father could stop him he pulled my head to the side as his canines bit into my neck.
I pushed him away but it was too late the damage was done he had marked me.
My hand went to my neck as blood flowed between my fingers my fury aimed at Ki.
My father stood stunned at what Ki had done as my mind went wild. My heart raced I growled as Ki tried to get closer. I pushed him away throwing him with strength that I'd never had before.
"How could you?!"
I screamed.
Kianti stood ignoring me he turned to my father.
"She is my mate and now she has the mark to prove it according to the law she is no longer banished and will remain here as the blue moons Luna."
Kianti stepped closer he was a foot taller then my father as he looked down at him.
"Now get off my territory and take your cub with you."
Without taking his eyes off Kianti my father called to Shiya.
"Shiya come on if the blues alpha wants to chose a human as his mate then it will only serve to strengthen the moon goddesses pack."
My father turned his back on Ki stoping as he passed me.
"Enjoy your freedom Raven."
His eyes turned to look down at my neck as he smiled.
"Or perhaps not."
My father headed towards his car Shiya in toe as they disappeared out of sight.
Kianti's hand on my arm pulled me out of my reverie. I ripped myself away growling at him.
"You ever touch me again and I will kill you Kianti."
His guilty eyes pleaded with me as his hand slowly went back to his side.
No longer being able to stand the sight of him I turned and ran. I didn't care if the bounty hunter got me it was better then staying there. It wasn't til that moment that I realised how much I had put my trust in him. If I was honest with myself I had trusted him since the moment I saw him, but now after what he did... I would never trust him again.
