Haze teleported with Rail to the next three fruit with Helm and Mace.
The three fruits were divided between the [east], [south], [west], and [north] parts of the forest.
He left Nicety, Lapis, and Port together to stay by the statue with Michigan and well... Zack was either dead or alive in the dragon. He had Michigan put a portal on his chest so they could toss the fruit back to her.
His plan was to have Mace use her
"Well we need you Rail, Helm, Nicety, and Lapis. If-if we don't have you, we're screwed."
"Burst!"
"Time to go! We'll go with that" Rail snapped her fingers and appeared back with the three fruit in her hand, "Port, Mace, and ugh Michigan... Haze, did you notice? We're doing really well on time."
"God, I hope this doesn't kill me. It was nice being alive..." Michigan sighed and tossed a red fruit into the silver dragon's mouth as its teeth appeared. They were so sharp that even the finest blades would break from contact with its shimmering mouth.
It instantly snapped up Michigan as it body once again uncurled and then snapped towards the two remaining people holding fruit. A small red flame come out of its nostrils as its killing intent dissipated.
"You've earned a right to choose. To take the path less traveled, or the one your soul least desires."
"You have to answer that," Rail took a deep breathe as the foliage was stirred by the wind. "Either way, you probably aren't going to be happy!"
"Burst! Burst! Burst!"
The deep voice once again spread through the forest and knocked down several trees. "Hurry, I don't think it will be easy for us to win against nine gods."
"The one my soul least desires," Haze walked up to the dragon as it's mouth slowly started to open.
He had no idea, but this was called the dragon of desire. It represented the path to becomming both powerful and able to follow your heart.
"I-I'm not scared of you stupid dragon! Just-just swallow me already."
"Sorry, but I don't eat mortals," The dragon snapped its tail at the ground, so fast that it barely blurred before cracks splintered out and appeared beneath Haze. "You'll find everything you hate lying in the darkness."
"Wha-what?" Haze looked down at his feet as he reached towards Rail, "Come-come here Rail! Grab onto Lapis and Nicety!"
"I-I can't reach them in time!" Rail snapped her fingers as the ground seemed to turn to dust beneath Haze's feet. She jumped onto his shoulders before Haze felt the ground fall out from underneath his feet.
He instantly fell like a missile deep heading deep underground as Rail slowly flipped to look at his face. The dragon had somehow broken the ground beneath him and sent him falling towards an underground city.
To their left and right were hundreds of towers underneath the ground, rising towards a small glowing point.
"I-I'm sorry, father! my hands were too slow!"
"Are we going to die?" Haze held onto her tightly as he turned and saw thousands of spikes rising from the ground. "How-how is this fair? The stupid dragon just said to make a choice!"
"I got you." Zack reached out from a window and latched onto Haze. "It's nice down here. They even have television."
