"... Can't he just really change now that he knows it?"
Elliot was in his seat staring at the door, left open by Justin who seems to avoid them by changing clothes.
"Knows it? Knows what? Hah?" Tasia, the only person accompanying Elliot talks, as her voice has hints of obliviousness, while she steals the chocolate frogs in her side.
Elliot just smiled discouraged, legilimency isn't even needed to access Tasia's thought. Having no one really to explain it to, he just sighs. He really didn't know whats the big deal. Killing? Nah uh bruh, in the future you're just gonna be ruthlessly killing to survive.
He knows still that they're all children, boys and girls that hasn't experience yet the world there. But then, they should change for the better. To atleast survive the war. Helping them would be troublesome though...
"Nevermind. Let's go change our clothes then," He just said to Tasia seeing how close they are at Hogwarts already.
He just realized how stubborn those two are. And changing them might take time. Unless something happens now and then....
He grabs his bag, with the secretly enhanced clothing, robes, uniform, hats and all. Grabbing a formal shoes to top it off.
Elliot then exits to the bathroom of their section. Seeing its not that full yet and only few anxious ones are immediately wearing clothes. He goes in to a water closet carefully laying his clothes in the tiny table that is attached in the sides. Taking off everything except his underwear, he successfully change to the Hogwarts neutral uniform.
Coming back, his eyes was interestingly staring at the end section. He didn't really know how would Draco react when he will see him, fear him or not, Elliot doesn't really care. At least he already showed discreetly that he's not a person to be played or bullied about. Bullying him back then would still not do, as it will raise some matters with the Malfoy's Family, a troublesome thing to solve, but still, he decided he has uses for Draco in the future. Maybe converting the Slytherin people, instead of future Death Eater, what about his people?
He smiled at the thought. That's a good one. Though pretty ambitious plan, as how Slytherins are ambitious themselves. But they're the type of people who only agrees to be overpowered by powerful people, so if he manage to get Draco on his side, getting the other purebloods will be easy as heck then.
Since the skies are turning dark, Elliot quickly boarded back to the compartment empty, took the chance to enlarge his luggage for no suspicion why is he not carrying anything. Taking it in the upper storage, Justin comes in time wearing his worn out robes, complete obvious that it's not the type of clothing you'll get from a normal store.
They looked at each other a bit, their high height gap making it a bit awkward of how low Elliot's staring below just to stare at Justin. Justin soon lumps on his seat, getting rid of the tension going back to the page where he is reading back then.
Elliot then sat too, just waiting for their arrival to come, which in estimated time, only an hour or so. Tasia soon comes back, stuttering nonsense and talking about how her usual fight goes. A topic to be not interested about to the two boys.
Time passed, and the sky turned night, the moon in the view as fogs started thickening, the atmosphere was cold, and winds were faster than usual.
Justin and Tasia was obviously enticed by the unusual yet majestic feeling that you will get once you'll get here at Hogwarts. Some lights that the school gives were already seen, and reflections of the school's shape are in the water, though not clear because of the fog.
Many "wows" and cheers were heard from other compartments, most of them sticking their heads into the window for clear view.
Both Justin and Tasia done the same, as anything you feel doesn't stop you from getting interested by magic.
It is nighttime at Hogsmeade station, the train blows its whistle and pulls into outside the station. Hagrid walks along the side aisle, with a lantern.
"Right then!"
Then the train slowly stopped, us swaying around for a bit, and then soon enough, Hagrid's voice is clear, having his lantern that calls onto the first year's attention.
"Right, then! First years! This way, please! Come on, now, don't be shy! Come on now, hurry up!"
His voice is telling them to be quick.
Everyone then started hoarding out of their compartments, the seventh years taking leads outside to ensure the other lower years safety.
The three got along to the crowd, though pretty bit annoying to Elliot of how noisy are them. But he was indeed too excited about this. Years of waiting, preparing, just to survive in this two faced school of Hogwarts. You'll never know that what roams under is literally Voldemort's doing. And someday, you'll meet your death.
Outside, there's the bench that are in front of the bushes, lamps, and all of that. Elliot got to the ground carefully, without any luggage as it will be handle by the staffs.
The 40 first years surrounds Hagrid where he greets Harry, who greets him back. He then continued after so, "Right then. This way to the boats! Come on, now, follow me!
In the foggy view, it's obvious there's water body out there, Great Lake, that holds 11 boats just right for the first years beside a wooden dock.
Each boat has its own lanterns that lights up its surroundings, and other students are gasping in awes, while Justin and Tasia can't help but do the same.
"Now then, four people every boat, C'mon C'mon!"
Hagrid then explained where its obviously seen that purebloods gathered themselves avoiding all the other Muggles.
Elliot got into a boat with Tasia and Justin obviously, as much as he's not that close to them, he still treats them like a friend and he hopes they treat him back too. And they're only the people that knows each other well anyway.
Getting into the boat with a girl stranger, it started docking off automatically with magic. They're now able to see the Hogwarts in view. The castle that reflects upon the water, the lamps that lights the place, and the high towers that stands tall almost achieving the sky. There's the rocks that makes it looks like the castle was being levitate. Truly magical eh?
It didn't took that long before they arrived then, others were clearly excited, and so is Elliot. As much as his poker face shows it, he's very exhilarated inside. Wondering what his presence will now do.... will it change the future entirely? Butterfly Effect, where yu?
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft And Wizardry, British wizarding school, located in the Scottish Highlands. A school that accepts around UK for its students. A state-owned school funded by the Ministry of Magic.
They are led to the gate of the castle, slowly being opened on how humongous it is. Then soon, they followed through the stairs and Elliot noticed the woman that were standing floor apart from them, tapping her old fingers into the stone railings, soon going to the very front of the stairs greeting them.
"Welcome to Hogwarts. Now, in a few moments, you will pass through these doors and join your classmates. But before you can take your seats, you must be sorted into your houses. They are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. Now while you're here, your house will be like your family. Your triumphs will earn you house points. Any rule breaking, and you will lose points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points is awarded the house cup."
Professor McGonagall's voice was clear and promt. Tasia beside Elliot didn't seems to understood a thing but just got along with the nodding students. But then, there's the blond troublemaker there, Draco, announcing Harry's apparent arrival.
" It's true then, what they're saying on the train. Harry Potter has come to Hogwarts." He voiced out for everyone to hear. And most of them started whispering 'Harry Potter?', with the apathetic Justin in the side, and the gossiping Tasia in the other side of Elliot. Wow, great combination.
"This is Crabbe and Goyle. And I'm Malfoy...Draco Malfoy." His voice was pretty loud, just perfect for everyone to hear. Like then, Elliot was in goosebumps how everything lined up. It was all happening like a throwback dream, and it's unbelievable. Then if he recalls, their stupid rivalry between the two, Harry and Draco will happen. Aftermath of Ron's snickering.
"Think my name's funny, do you? No need to ask yours. Red hair, and a hand-me-down robe? You must be a Weasley. Well, soon find that some wizarding families are better than others, Potter. Don't want to go making friends with the wrong sort. I can help you there. "
'Holy shit...' Elliot was in for the ride of goosebumps. But seeing how everything goes still normally, he didn't took time observing their cats and dogs moments. Observing still his surroundings. Just pillars, stairs, entrance, doors, that basically all you can see, all stone colored in beige.
After seeing that Professor McGonagall caught them,
they then moved along for the Great Hall. Everything was fast, in just a matter of second , they now arrived at the Great Hall, with the very long ass tables, four colored banners that levitate high in the ceiling. Green ambitious Slytherin, red daring Gryffindors, blue witty Ravenclaws, and yellow hardworking Hufflepuff. Elliot stared in, it was all just like as he remembers.
It was lit by thousands and thousands of candles that were floating in midair over four long tables, where the rest of the students were sitting. These tables were laid with glittering golden plates and goblets. At the top of the hall was another long table where the teachers were sitting. The hundreds of faces staring at them looked like pale lanterns in the flickering candlelight. Looking upward, there's the velvety black ceiling. One making It hard to believe there was a ceiling there at all, and that the Great Hall didn't simply open on to the heaven.
Up in the front is the High Table, to be housed by the Hogwarts staff, faces that Elliot recognizes. Noticeably that Snape is taking a glimpse or two to Harry. If he's addicted to a bottle green eyes that much, why don't he just make a doll that looks like Lily? His addiction sometime can be terrific. Ehem.. There's the high mighty throne in the middle, for the Headmaster to sit on. On the side is a door that leads to a chamber of portraits.
The first year's were invited to the front, as the older years are sat on the tables.
And before it started, Dumbledore rose from his seat giving few words to all.
" Have a few start of term notices I wish to announce. The first years please note that the dark forest is strictly forbidden to all students. Also, our caretaker, Mr. Filch-" Dumble then pointed at a ragged man holding a red eyed cat, Ms. Norris Elliot presumes.
" - has asked me to remind you that the 3rd floor corridor on the right hand side is out of bounds to everyone who does not wish to die a most painful death. Thank you." He then sat again like what he said was just normal and all right. Yet they said Hogwarts brings you the 'best safety' and all. Its funny as other than safety, it offers most.
Professor McGonagall then approaches, holding a long parchment paper as she says her words,
"When I call your name, you will come forth, I shall place the sorting hat on your head, and you will be sorted into your houses."
'Now I only hope to be not sorted at Hufflepuff....'
