"Hey, care to teach me?"
"Yeah! You should teach us bro!"
"Dude, teach us for more house points!"
Several Slytherins made their way to Elliot who seems to steal a glance on the peaking Justin, still trying to levitate the single feather in his desk.
"Alright, calm down," Elliot didn't bother teaching really, he plans to make this guys his allies, and getting into their good side will be step one. And the spell ain't that really dangerous nor in importance so teaching them a bit won't make them be a threat.
Elliot states that it should be in a chain manner, as long as he teach one, that one will teach another. The Ravenclaw didn't seems to have a teamwork like that, and why they're still struggling up until now.
Draco in the lower row didn't seems to bother even talking to him. Inviting his trio to just go to the ground floor and practice it themselves.
Crabbe and Goyle seems to oppose him, but Draco still managed to convince them still. Elliot picked someone who is actually a good learner, going by the name of Daniel. He learned quickly once he now knows the proper enunciation and hand movement.
Then doing the spell, Daniel succeeded, only less faster than Elliot though. He then continued the chain, as Daniel teach another.
Elliot then got to the other side teaching other few more, and the whole Slytherins table was in apparent harmony Professor Flitwick didn't expect at all. They would be always the proud and ambitious ones, but always seems to fail rather. Flitwick felt pity on his own house, seeing their condition where one hasn't yet at all able to perform the charm. Some just giving up and actually dropping their pride, copying what they are seeing in the Slytherin's side.
"Ah, Mr. Demetrius, may you teach the fellow Ravenclaws also?" Flitwick called out, and as Elliot was practically done on his side, he politely agreed nodding, as he leave his seat and see the expectating eyes of the witty guys.
Flitwick smiled as Slytherin's just leave Elliot be, too bothered by the majestic spells to even care for him.
Teaching the Ravenclaws was just easy. They're disclipined already and do what they are told really.
The whole hour given for the subject passed almost all 20 students passing, exceptance for the trio, Crabbe, Groyle, and Draco, as much as to the disappointment of everybody as they can practically break some record now..

The first class of Charms ended, essays about the lighting charm and levitation charm being the assignment. Everyone complained how it was too much to make a two page essay each two. And I can just laugh really. Hell in NEWT's year you literally have to make a 20 page essays without that much information given. It's exactly like what collage in Muggle World really is like. Just bunch of self study and it's up to you then next. Just by thinking now, I can actually make several more pages than two. And Flitwick isn't the type to be simply mad by being overzealous unlike Snape so I will do just fine, I'm just really a kiss ass by now. Well suck it up, probably on the future I'm gonna be one of the hated students anyway as my plans will never go on the right way in this school.
Never mind that, next class is Transfiguration . Wasn't Professor McGonagall the cat thingy? Yeah, right. The one I almost slipped in the floor because of the surprise of the cat suddenly enlarging beside me.
Love to become an Animagi though. Pretty cool, but I have to first access the restricted section of the library first, which there I can access a book about becoming an Animagi.
Whilst walking, Ive dwelved into my mind. According to my plan, there's the seven courses for the Philosophers Stone. Each professor setting up a trap or something to not let Voldemort snatch the little thing. Going through that would be troublesome if your alone. I guess I have to find a way again. Then I have to find the right training grounds for me to not be seen practicing my sword arts and core enhancing. Since waking up early than the rest will produce some suspicion. That's why, if I find a good training grounds for me to use, I can divide my training regime not only on morning time, but for the whole day. It just really dissatisfied me since I didn't took time to learn about Room of Requirements in the past. And RoR would be the perfect place. I can practically isolate myself there and never get out.
There's still 8 minutes before the class will start. About 4 minutes to get there. This floor being the third floor, and the next room being in the first floor. Going down with the moving stairs, I've got between the corridors where rushing people are just surrounding me.
"Hey, you heard the half of first years almost succeeded in levitation? I remember our batch was mostly explosion back then..."
"Really..? I guess it's Harry again isn't it? The Boy Who Lived?"
"Actually nah, I don't know but seems Flitwick is obviously happy about it"
Rumours, gossips, thing that can really help you either fall or rise up to the top. In my case in the past, it's the first option. But hey, not gonna lie, it does feel good being praise now after all that hardwork. I'm always mocked or ridiculed by Claude and Arch, then being treated like a child with the Owlers. But here, I can stand in the high grounds.
Forget that, I've arrived at the front door step of the classroom, and it was already packed with decent amount of people. And as I expected, there's the meowing silver tabby cat in the teachers desk that no one really is bothering. Presumably, they presume it's just a random cat. I took a step forward in the door, the first transfiguration classroom I ever known, in an oval more refined shape like base room, the classroom is big, surrounded by high windows, has four rows of three desks, and still has enough room for several cages and bookshelves, two golden cat statues, two chalkboards, and a desk for the professor. Several candlesticks stand lit behind the desk.
As I arrived, all their eyes were on me. Some girls started giggling creepily, but I ignored that as I see Tasia just unknowingly approached me locking her strong arms in my shoulder despite the fact I'm very tall.
"I reserved a seat for you, leeets go" She was pulling me straight to the chairs off guard, but I immediately stop the force staring at the cat in the desk. From which Tasia only noticed there is actually a cat in the room.
"Awwww cutey little cat, your Faux is definitely more cuter and beautiful though," She continued in as the cat obviously hinted a growl.
I stared intently into the cats eyes, the mix of Professor McGonagall's real one.
"But hey, you tried," I stated from where Tasia didn't bother no more, pulling me again, seeing as she can't pull me, she just gruntingly go off with herself. Staying, I muttered more only for her, the cat, to hear.
"By that, I mean literally..."
Turning back, I coughed to cover what I said. But I can definitely feel the cats obvious meow directly on me, while her eyes are drilling onto my back. Going off to where the desk of Tasia is, I sat beside her. Counting with my head, there's 1 minute before McGonagall transform. So I took the time to arrange my things in my desk. Books are not really needed to me until about... third year where several more classes are available. But quills and parchment paper is important in this class. Professor likes diligent and docile hardworking students, so pretending to write and understand everything she is saying will earn you some good points to her even if you don't succeed at the application process of spells. And also, transfiguration is a pretty complex class, you literally like have to learn a new magical language. My first year of Transfiguration in the past, I didn't understood a single thing. It's a pretty troublesome one I guess.
Looking around, there's no one really that good here, formidable enough I mean. Getting house points is easy then. The class will presumably start off with the introduction of transfiguration, and what is it actually, then just some basic reading on the spell of turning a match into a needle. Rarely one succeeds in doing the spell so in their first days, until the bushy haired girl arrived of course.
Seeing as every seat now is filled with students...
56....57....58....59....60
There, a transforming cat puts a huge figure of a woman dressed in green robes with her favorite tartan pattern, Minerva McGonagall was rather tall, severe-looking and "sprightly" seventy-year-old woman. Black hair that was tightly combed behind in a bun while her wizard hat covers it.
She had a very prim face, as the first thing she stared at the student crowd in front of her is me. And I smirked, defiance like smirk.
"WOAH!"
Of course many were surprised that transfiguration can take you to that level. Their mouth was wide in awe, and Tasia really was exagarrating hers.
"Welcome to my class of Transfiguration-"
"Transfiguration is some of the most complex and dangerous magic you will learn at Hogwarts. Anyone messing around in my class will leave and not come back. You have been warned," She ended her introduction with a very stern and strict voice. Some even cowering in nervousity lowering their heads, possibly afraid that they will fail.
Nonverbally, McGonagall waved her hand where her desk turned into a pig, and everyone exclaimed in high voice. But it was soon turned into the very desk like what it is formerly.
"That....such simple mistake can make things complicated.."
" Now... can someone tell me, what really is... Transfiguration?"
To my surprise, several hands were in the air, and to my sURPRISE, Tasia was included. How shawty brave. I looked at her, Gryffindors you are, I approve of you bro.
A Hufflepuff though was picked, and everyone for now put down their hands.
" Yes, Ms. Smith?" She called out, where the girl stood up giving her answer. "Transfiguration is very hard and..."
"Very hard..."
The girl was clearly nervous. And McGonagall coughed..
I prevented myself from laughing, as the whole class erupted in it. But one look from Professor McGonagall silenced all.
"Anyone likes to try again too?"
McGonagall then said, and as no one really is raising their hands, which can greatly disappoint her and possible reduce 1 points from each student, I'm saving yall, I raised my hand and seemingly as the only person doing so, she promptly called onto me.
"Transfiguration, it teaches the art of changing the form and appearance of an object or a person. This type of magic is commonly considered both complex and dangerous." I gulped from they thought I was done, "H-" She was about to say something but I continued in.
"There are limits to Transfiguration, which are governed by Gamp's Law of Elemental Transfiguration, one might say, no summoning of food and more. There are also many branches, including Cross-Species Transfiguration and Human Transfiguration. This type of magic is regarded as "very hard work" and is "more scientific" than Charmswork. One has to get it exactly right for the transfiguration to be successful. But in my say, it just really depends on what your curiousity about and what your talent focuses in, " Then that, I finished, and she approvingly nodded.
"15 points to Slytherin.." Her face didn't show that joy that much when her house student is the one to answer, but sure, be bias, don't hella care.
"Hmh, I won't be repeating what Mr. Demetrius said as to see if you listened well enough. But yes, it's a very complex and dangerous, so such silly actions are warned," Professor McGonagall then continued, as the blackboard started writing some inscriptions like things, one to be not clearly understand by mere first years. But squinting my eyes... it's just bunch of basic instructions on how to do a spell of transfiguration.
The lesson continued in while Prof. was discussing about what is the inscriptions all about. Obviously one I and Tasia didn't listen too. There's about 20 minutes of discussing it, just bunch of hand raising, which I proficiently answered all, praise me, it's alright- and well, that earned me a good 30 overall points for the first few minutes. But wait until the application, which... is actually now.
"As what we have discussed about, we will be transforming a match into a needle, which is one of the simplest forms of transfiguration there is, but needless to say, it's undeniable that it will be fairly hard for you all, but I expect for you all to atleast make a tad change in your match..... " Her stern and strict voice was still apparent. Earning some shivers from others, too nervous to fail.
"What was it even anyway? What the bloody hell is turning a match into a needle?" The voice of Tasia was beside me. Seemingly she didn't listen throughout the course. But even if you listened anyway, you won't really get it that much.
"Just waved your hands like mine and also speak like me.." I spoke in a low tone, and she just agreed like the cheat she is.
"Now, clearly, Partu Transire" McGonagall flicked her wand in the right movement, where everyone thought that it can just be really a random one. They didn't know that such movements will really change so much.
"Partu Transire...." I've gone along with class saying it again.
She didn't yet showed any demonstration, and invited us to do it first. Like the charms class, everyone move their wands in petty lousy manner. I stared at Tasia who is just waiting for my movement.
"Where's your hand movement now? Cmon.."
She whispered to me, and I only nodded showing a face of patience.
Professor McGonagall was going around the tables glancing intently at our works. But I didn't notice that as I was in conversation mode with Tasia.
"Partu Transire... Do wizards make everything just complicated to add fanciness to everything? They can simply say 'turn this shit into needle'..." Tasia was in question tone, and I nodded with the fair point. Though I guess we just adapted to the Latin magic.
I chuckled a little remembering a certain... Finnigan back then.
"Oh believe me, things like that will just make you a furnace.."
I continued then, "Touchè, but magic is really anci-"
"Now now, perhaps you two have already succeeded to make such discussions here in my class....."
The obvious voice of Professor McGonagall then cut me off. And I gulped staring at her, with her prim expression, lips thin in demure.
"We're sorry professo-" Tasia was quick to apologize, but I cut her off. "Indeed professor, but I was just teaching Ms. Sinclair here how to do it..." A lie obviously.
My smirked was spread onto my face, her eyes squinted as she looked at my table seeing an untransformed match, just laying around.
We garnered attention, and everyone was unbelievable gazing at me as their looks were in curiousity.
" Really? Mr. Demetrius, then tell me why is this match is still laying here... untouched?"
She then said back, and oh boi, you just gave me the time to shine.
"..... Partu Transire" With the right hand movements, flicking in certain ways, certain speed and clear incantation, the match turned into a needle. A silvery, pointed needle that is noticeable very sharp, sharper than a normal one.
Professor McGonagall stared widely at the result, giving me a defeated sigh.
