When Quince saw Gio going the opposite side of the kitchen and ran out to her.
Gio was admiring the house, but got lost. D*mn, man, this house was too big and too complicated for her poor a*s! She sighed and stopped, trying to retrace of which way she came. "Hey, the food is getting cold" Quince said coming behind her and holding her by the hand, leading her to the dining room.
Gio sighed but was thankful he didn't expose her for getting lost, she had been embarrassed enough for one morning.
When Gio saw a variety of food on the table, all embarrassment ran out the window and she scooped up a bit of everything onto her plate making a big heap of food.
Quince shook his head in disapproval. "What? Can't a girl eat?" Gio asked him not really expecting an answer cause it was written all over his judgmental face.
"Oh nothing, as long as you can keep looking the way you do, then you can eat a cow for all I care" Quince shrugged his shoulders. Aunt Sigie hit him on the head and berated "Don't tease the child" then she turned and looked at Gio with warm eyes "Eat as much as you want, darling, I made all this for you."
Gio smiled and kept eating. Half way through the meal Aunt Sigie said "Oh, I called your mother. She will be here soon, she's extremely worried about you, she even cried"
"What? Whose mother cried? My mother? Danielle Tocca?" Gio was shocked, her mother was never an overly emotional person that she would cry, she never really cared about her to the extend of coming all the way here just because she was nearly r*ped. She just wasn't that type of a person. Her mother would rather send a text than come all the way here.
"She's your mother, child, what kind of mother would she be if she wasn't worried about her only child? What happened to you last night was like nothing you've ever been through before" Aunt Sigie tried convincing her to believe in her mother. Gio shrugged her shoulders and continued eating.
When the sound of cars were heard outside, Quince stood up and said "It's better I not be here when they come in, it wouldn't look good."
Gio understood that a man and a woman having breakfast together at a man's house after the woman slept over would not look innocent at all.
The minute Danielle Tocca stepped into the house she ran to Gio in tears, "Oh my child, you're fine" she continued crying and hugged her.
Gio was too shocked, she couldn't even hug her mother back.
Aunt Sigie gave her a disapproving looking and she could only hug Danielle back resignedly.
"Oh my gosh, I was so worried about you" Danielle continued hugging her and crying.
Gio felt her mother was being too dramatic in front of a crowd. If she joined the entertainment industry she would be famous.
