The girl was bleeding heavily, but Lyra was sure that she was still alive. She did see the magic that she was using, after all.
"Quick! We need to stop the bleeding!" Lyra said to Ace and Beatrice, But Ace and Beatrice we're clueless, as usual.
These idiots! How will they survive on their own after they graduate?!
Lyra forgot that she was like that as well when she just began her journey to defeat the Queen of the Demons.
Since Beatrice and Ace has no clue what to do, Lyra has to take this into her own hands using what she knows best, magic.
She used her magic to stop the bleeding, and she also used magic to clean the wounds. She had to know where the wounds were to heal them.
Fortunately, it did not take long to locate the wounds, and Lyra used healing magic to heal the girl. However, the wounds were fatal, so it took a lot of time and concentration. If not, the girl would die.
Meanwhile, while Lyra was healing the girl, Beatrice and Ace were watching her with stunned expressions on their faces. They did not know how Lyra was so easily able to control the magic, nor could they think of why she had so much to control.
They were not able to control even a quarter as much, and their control was not as fine.
They wanted to ask Lyra about it, to ask about why, even though she was younger, she was able to use such complex magic. And most importantly, they wanted to learn how to do the same.
They now realized the main reason why they were able to have a field trip as soon as a new student came. It was because Lyra was easily far stronger than the both of them combined.
And now they even were starting to believe that Lyra, in some way, was stronger than Leo.
No, not just believe, they knew that Lyra was stronger than Leo. It may have been only a feeling, but they were completely certain of the fact.

Lyra was exhausted from healing the girl, and from using magic like that. It had been such a long time since she used magic that way, but fortunately she did not forget how.
It was a magic she invented after all. If she forgot it, she could just create another one in its place. That was how she thought of magic. Magic was only a tool that was easy to create and just as easy to destroy. As long as she knew how to do it.
She looked up from the girl, and saw Beatrice and Ace frozen and staring at her. Did she do something weird?
"Is something the matter?" She asked, confused by their stares.
However, there was no reply but silence. Really, those two were quite predictable in their responses, but as Lyra thought of them as chatterboxes, she could not comprehend why or how they were being completely silent.
"Are they being affected by some sort of magic that makes someone frozen?" She tried to see the flow of any abnormal magic, but she could not find any.
"That's odd. Did someone invent a type of magic that doesn't leave a trace?"
She walked right up to Ace and tapped his shoulder. No response, so this time she punched him on the chest. He fell backwards onto the wall of the cave, and Beatrice turned to look at him in surprise.
"Ow.... What was that for?" Ace asked when he hit the wall.
"I thought you were affected by a strange magic that freezes you, so I tried to get you out of its range."
"Oh come on! Beatrice, tell her."
But Beatrice just ignored him. "Lyra, is the girl okay?"
"Yes. She should be waking up soon." Lyra walked over to check on the girl again, and left Ace whining against the wall. Beatrice went over to Ace to help him up again, and found that he was completely uninjured. "Lyra did well..." she muttered with a slight laugh. Ace felt like crying when he heard Beatrice say that. "You too...?" He said, But there was no response.
"Yawn..."
They turned to look towards the girl. They saw her eyes slowly open after the yawn, and she sat up. Her appearance was slightly clearer now that she was awake and healed, although her clothes were completely ruined. Her hair was a purplish black, and her eyes were a bright purple.
"You're awake." Lyra said. She handed the girl a cup of water. Beatrice and Ace had no clue where the cup or the water came from, but they felt like they could not ask questions anymore.
The girl took the cup and slowly drank the water. Then she looked back at Lyra, and then looked at Ace and Beatrice.
Beatrice and Ace has no clue what they should say, but Lyra knew exactly what the girl wanted.
"I'm Lyra, and these two behind me are Beatrice and Ace, my friends. May I know your name?"
The girl looked at Lyra and then nodded. She opened her mouth slowly, and anticipation dragged on for a full minute before she finally answered.
"Laura..." was all she said.
"So, Laura..." Lyra asked, "where are you from?"
Laura shook her head. "I..."
She paused for a moment. Lyra could not help but wonder at what she was thinking about.
"I... I don't know...."
