the wolf beast were all around him all exits blocked and he only had a few seconds before the monsters would kill him he had to find away out with and with a quick slice he pushed back a wolf allowing him to escape the other wolves attacks but he knew he couldn't run the wolves would just catch up with him but also he wasn't strong enough to kill them but then he remembered that he could leave the forest early if killed a monster but because of the student he had to kill at least two wolves so blaze put his back to a tree so they could only attack him from head on and then got his sword ready and the wolves attacked the first one wolf bite down on his sword allowing another one to aim for blaze's throat then in a split second blaze swung his sword with all his strength causing the wolf to crash into another and slamming it into a tree then before the others could react blaze took his chance stabbed down his sword into the wolf killing it, blaze turned towards the wolves and he could see the rage on their faces suddenly the area around blaze began to heat up and the wolves erupt into flames he started to slowly back way grabbing a piece of the dead wolf but then a massive ball of fire was blasted at blaze he narrowly dodged it but the piece of fur was burnt and blaze ran.
As blaze frantically ran through the forest trying to escape the wolves who were blasting thousands of fireballs each one narrowly missing blaze but as his breath got more rapid and his heart felt like it was going to explode than he heard the peaceful sound of running water and a spark of hope ignited blaze, he realised that the river is nearby he had to reach it he had to save the student; he had to become a knight; he had to have the courage to step forward on the battle with these thoughts racing in his head a sudden surge of strength over took him it raced through him he ran and ran and ran and finally he saw it slowly moving peacefully, flowing but with the wolves behind him he had to strategize.
Blaze was trembling in the middle of the river all he could hear was the wolves rampaging towards him the only thought in his head "it has to work" and then the first one jumped out of the forest it was right in front of him its flames coming ever closer and then blaze dropped low to the ground and as the wolf landed behind him he change his blade into a broad sword and he swung his sword at the river whilst turning around causing a huge wave of water to splash onto the wolf extinguishing its flames, then blaze change the blade into a rapier and stabbed the heart of the monster but before blaze could react another wolf jumped out and slashed his back causing him to drop to his knees than he could hear the wolf ready to finish him blaze tried to extend his blade but it broke and the writing on the blade disappeared so instinctively blaze rolled to the side dodging the monsters attack but causing the injuries on his back to open wider, blaze quickly looked around him and found a branch that had broken off a tree he quickly grabbed it dodging the monster then as he stood in front of the wolf engulfed in flames charging at him and as it got closer and even closer blaze suddenly splashed the monsters face with water and then as it was blinded from the steam he used the branch to stab the wolf killing it but still there were two left he had no weapons the branch was stuck in the wolf and his sword is in pieces all Blaze could do was look over to the wolf's carcass at its charcoal fur and giant claws but as he looked at its long fangs a idea arrived in his mind, he grabbed the sword hilt with a tiny fragment of the blade still on it and blaze began to chip away at the fangs and with each hit the wolves got closer and closer until they were right behind him and right before they devoured him the fang broke away and blaze shoved it through one wolf's chest but the other wolf bit down on Blaze's arm but he pulled out the fang and as the wolf was about to rip his arm off he stabbed the final wolf in the heart.
blaze was walking back to camp, each step more painful than the last his arm was numb and his back almost broken not to add to the fact that he was dragging the fang of the wolf to show as proof he felt like he was going to collapse but he had to reach the camp he had to make it out the forest he forced himself to go on and when he reached the camp, he collapsed to the ground he couldn't move anymore "that's a familiar sight" the tied up student said looking down at blaze
"but this time your tied up" blaze said lifting his arm and pointing at the student
"I don't see that as a problem since my magic allows me to control nature so I can escape whenever I want," the student explained whilst moving the rope of him
"wait you can control nature how did you lose to the wolves," blaze asked slight confused and annoyed
"well the biggest thing I control is a slightly above average bush," the student said with slight disappointment
"wait a minute I dont know your name yet" blaze said turning to face the student
"its Jacob but my name doesn't mean much since we are going to die here," Jacob depressingly said looking up to the sky
"I was able to defeat four monsters were both injured so if you can carry me and the fang to the end of the forest we can make it out," blaze stated pushing his body upwards trying to force it up
"that would be amazing if we could find a way out" Jacob added standing up
" I found a river earlier so we could follow it," blaze suggested putting his back to a tree
" there's a river we are saved" Jacob said walking over towards blaze
" what do you mean by that," blaze questioned
"I explain on the way just get on my back and tell me where it is," Jacob said kneeling down
"fine but whatever you are planning better work," blaze said pulling himself onto Jacob's back
Jacob and blaze where by the river picking up leaves and sticks and placing them into a pile "alright that should be enough" Jacob sitting down and placing his hands on the pile and closing his eyes
"so how does his work" blaze questioned looking down at Jacob
"I gather all the recent information from these leaves and twigs this allows me to make a mental map of the area," Jacob said focusing on the forest around him
"you can do that but not control tree," blaze said with disappointment
"do you want to leave the forest...dammit," Jacob blurted getting up
"what's happening" blaze said whilst Jacob picked up the wolf fang
"a monster is right behind us we need to travel to the closest exit right now" Jacob explained heading across the river with blaze following close behind both of them, scared that a monster is going to jump out.
blaze and Jacob raced through the forest hoping that no monsters would find them both of them trying to escape then they saw it the campground the empty campground they escaped.
