At the shrill scream of an alarm, I'm tossed into the air, in a bit of a daze I turn into a Gliding Snake to save myself the pain of falling on the hardwood floor, and end up on the mirror above the dresser. Clearly awake now, I look at Hazal. Looks like she was shocked up by the alarm, flipping out of bed, only to slip on a pair of shorts.
Her head clearing from the fall, her face pales as she yells, "Mom! Where'd the snake go?"
At this, I quickly shift back and adjust my body as to not fall.
Hazal's mother calls out from the kitchen, "She went to bed with you!"
"Well it's not here!" Following Hazal's words was the clank of kitchen utensils and storming foot steps to her bedroom.
"What're you-" Hazal's Mother swings the door open to see me hanging from my ever so comfortable podium, staring judgmentally at Hazal, who has her head and shoulders wedged under the bed.
To this, the mother asks me, "How'd you even get up there?"
Not by choice that is. I look at the alarm that caused this, noticing the time, 7:00am.
Seeing my gaze land on the clock, she simply states, "Oh." And walks back to the kitchen.
I'm guessing this her reaction to the alarm isn't an abnormal occurrence. Great.
Having un-wedged herself, Hazal looks at the door that her mother just shut and spots me out of the corner of her eye.
"Oh!" Getting exited to see that I'm not missing, she dares to scold me, "Don't go up there, you can get stuck." As she reaches her arms towards me.
I can get down perfectly fine. But. It would be less effort to use her arms.
I slither down her arms and hang myself around her shoulders. Seeing as I've situated myself, she heads to the kitchen and sits at the table, waiting on breakfast, she takes out her phone.
Social media. So this is how it's supposed to be used. I have accounts but, no posts, followers, followings, or friends... but I haven't been able to access them since I was young do to the tails always stalking my search history... so who knows what's happened to them. And I said snakes would listen to me more than Monarch but, that's just the everyday snakes, which is most of our attack force, but the rarer, more intriguing snakes, such as half breeds, species kings, and more complicated ones all follow Monarch. They have their own strengths... just it would take a few extra decades relying solely on them.
But this girl. The sheer amount of red bubbles would send more than just bulls into rage.
