Chapter 6 - The sweet scent of daisies

"Welcome!" A bright voice called out as the chime of a small silver bell rang as a new customer walked in. The air filled with the fresh sweet smell of flowers as the warm sun's rays shined through the large class windows.

The inside of the shop was spacious one half of the store was decorated in a comfortable homely theme. Backed against the walls coaches with coffee tables were lined up . Small tables lined in the center. Each had a vase with the shop's own grown flowers in display. Bookshelves covered one wall with several sections of books for customers to read during their stay.

The other half was filled with bouquets of different flowers and flower arrangements. Herbs growing in one section of the store, while boxes and jars of tea leaves and healing herbs decorated one wall . It was behind the cashier counter that the tea pots and coffee makers stood. Freshly made pastries stood in display.

At the sound of the bell the young worker who had been watering the plants smiled brightly turning towards the new customer.

"Oh, Mister Ayzawa your back." Briar smiled brightly placing down the watering can as she quickly walked over were one of her favorite customers stood. An elder grandfather who had once owned a vet clinic down the street. Now owned by his son and granddaughter. The elder man while often displaying a stern look on his face was truly one of the kindest people she had met once leaving the hospital. He stopped by almost ever afternoon for a cup of tea. Chatting with her for a while before he returned back to the clinic. Stating that without him, his son and granddaughter would be lost.

"Briar, how many time have I told you to call me grandpa." Mister Ayzawa scolded her with a smile as she helped with one of the bags in his hand before she walked him over to the small table in the flower section of the shop.

"Sorry, good afternoon grandfather." Mister Ayzawa smiled happily with a chuckle at her words.

"Now where that brother of yours? Did he leave you to tend to the shop alone again?" He frowned glancing around the shop as he sat down.

"No, He's in the back tending to the flower garden."

"Hmm, well at least he knows not to leave a young lady such as yourself alone. Young men out there can be nothing but wolves." Mr. Ayzawa frowned grumply with closed as he crossed his arms.

With a light laugh Briar shook her head as she prepared his usual tea. Cutting a slice of cake to go along side it. Mr. Ayzawa opened one eye glancing over from the corner of his eyes. A pleased happy expression appeared on his face as she brought over his tea and cake.

"Still can't match any other tea with the one you make Briar." Mr. Ayzawa commented with a laugh as she placed down the slice of cake. Serving his cup of tea he hummed with a smile as he took in the sweet scent.

"Oh, Mr. Ayzawa. Good afternoon."
