On those days where she suffered due to the poison, it had become a norm for Odette to find the boy beside her. She did reject his presence in the beginning, but his insistence made her give up on that.
Moreover, in that vulnerable state, she held on to him especially tightly.
Adrian did try to ask her reason behind the attacks, but she remained quiet on it. As if reaching a silence acquiescence, he never brought up the matter again and only chose to accompany her on those painful nights.
