Odette stepped into the dilapidated building. Absolute silence surrounded them, and occasionally, cries of the cat resonated along with the screams of dogs. The distant howls of wolf could be faintly heard at times.
As she moved forward, the hooting of owl spread. The bats gathered at a corner watching the teenagers make their way through the building.
Odette bent down to grab on the log and raised it, revealing misplaced wooden board. She pressed down on it as a soft smile appeared on her face. It took her about a month to find this place because of how well it was hidden.
Impressive, Odette had to say about it.
At that, the area behind the staircase slid open, revealing a pathway that led underground. The pathway was dark, but it hardly fazed Odette as she positioned the log back to its position.
