Chapter 76 - Difference

Sena barely saw a blur before Tartarus had appeared on the other side of the room.

Sena's body instantly got sent flying back a few feet as he clutched at his sword. His instincts were barely enough for him to move his sword a little bit to the right.

"Very impressed... You stopped one of my attacks." Tartarus looked over at Kana and Rena as they play fought in the corner. "You want to tell me why you look so familiar?"

"No, attack me again." Sena wiped the sweat off his head as Tartarus sighed and stepped off his back foot. He was getting ready to attack before he paused and took a look at Sena's defense.

It was flawless.

He had all his weak points covered and seemed like an expert in a teenager's body.

Tartarus was an expert, though, and noticed a small weakness in his heels. He stepped off his back foot and slashed at Sena before he could even react.

Tartarus was fast enough that if he wanted to he could very easily run a hundred miles in less than one hundredth of a second. He was so strong, that even the highest mountains he could carry with one wrist.

This might be a little bit of an exaggeration, but he was definitely the strongest god in the [Chaos Dungeon] besides for Chaos himself. His wife Gaea was considered more powerful than him, but that was to be expected.

Compared to him, Sena was like a small insect about to be crushed by the weight of the world.

Tartarus noticed a small opening in Sena's defense and swung towards it as he looked at his coffee. He wanted to drink some of it and didn't even bother to look at how Sena responded to the move. He was almost a complete replica of his original self, after all, and never held any teenagers in his eyes let alone one versing him in a game.

Sena noticed the sword and saw the extremely fast blade moving towards him before he stepped on his back foot and unleashed a burst of power. He used all his might to move his sword down towards the blade.

He stopped the blade from hitting him and smiled before he suddenly realized he hadn't anticipated the strength of the attack.

His knees instantly buckled as he slid over to the cup of coffee.

Sweat dripped down his head as he stared into Tartarus' eyes. He seemed to be surprised that Sena somehow managed to defend himself. He was somewhat upset for taking a look at the cup of coffee.

"You think you can beat me yet, or do you want me to teach you?"

"You're tough," Sena smiled and weighted his options.

He had a few hours before he could play [Twist of Fate] and might be able to learn something from this god named Tartarus.

He sighed and held up his sword as Tartarus prepared to attack. Maybe if he was lucky, he'd be able to use his instincts to land one hit.

"Coming, little boy," Tartarus said as he slowly walked towards Sena, "Afterwards, maybe we can talk about that technique you're using to dodge attacks that you can't see."

"I just have good insticts," Sena just told the honest truth, "Try and attack me with all you have, and see if you can hit me."

"If I hit you with all I have, I might destroy this room," Tartarus also weighted his options and decided to finally attack with his full force.

If this boy really did have a technique, he should be able to learn it by watching it.

He was like any teacher in front of a student. If they possessed an ability, there was no reason he couldn't learn it as well in exchange for giving him some pointers.

Tartarus felt like a magnanimous man as he appeared in front of Sena.

He was so fast that the cold air burst into flames as he appeared in front of Sena and slashed. Anticipating that Sena couldn't block two attacks, he slashed twice a little bit faster than the previous time.

Sena wasn't even looking at him yet because he was so fast, but for some reason his blade stopped the first attack.

It failed to stop the second one, but it came close just enough that sparks flew off his blade.

Sena could only blink before he was smashed down into the floor. Sometimes, there was only so much that instincts could accomplish.

"Ow," Sena complained as he got up and landed by Tartarus cup of coffee, "I didn't think you'd be so fast. Attack me again... I'll get you this time."

"Little brat..." Tartarus for some reason started to feel worried about Sena as he slightly changed his pose, "It be better you came back here in a few months. It's too early for you to fight me."

"I'll beat you in a week max," Sena yawned and reached back to grab Tartarus coffee. He drank a sip and suddenly felt refreshed. "Now, let's go again!"
