"Yes. There are no such things as limits in the world of magic and every element breaches into the territory of many other elements. Watch this." Scamander spoke as he lifted his hand.
I quickly tapped my forehead.
'A.I, record all you hear from this point.'
[Such commands are unnecessary. I am always recording and archiving data into the database.]
'Oh... Uhh...Sorry...?'

A soft glow appeared on his hand. "I, am inherently inclined towards light. But light is a form of energy, it is merely radioactivity. So if I increased the intensity..."
The light turned harsher and brighter as warmth enveloped the surroundings. "I can create heat, the domain of the fire elemental. And if I shape this in certain ways..."
The bright light condensed into a small ball that was now even brighter and could not be seen with normal eyes. But Deus's special 'vision' was recording all the data that was being shown with the A.I.
"This ball is in the domain of plasma. A super heated ball of...Pure energy. A hybrid element that is formed from light and fire. And if I suddenly direct this energy towards a point..."

An arc of electricity sprung out from the ball and onto a rock behind the carriage, blasting it apart and charring the ground around it.
"I can approach the domain of the lightning elemental. A super complex element that uses multiple elements but plasma as the basis."
"So the elements are all connected?" I asked as I analyzed what I've just witnessed.
"In a sense yes, some more interlinked with certain elements than others. We categorize the closely related elements under a 'Tree'. The light element that I control is merely a part of the Energy Tree. Elements such as Fire, Lightning, Plasma and Light are the main elements of the tree whilst there are some supplementary elements that have half a foot or a fraction of a foot set in the tree such as lava, nature, dark and so on." Scamander explained.
"Can a person have multiple elements?" I asked in curiosity.
"Of course, but only one main element. It is important that the main element of a magus be a major and 'primitive' element such as fire, water, light, dark and so on. This is because it is easier to branch out and control other elements if your main element is a 'primitive' element. A magus whose main element is Nature will have a harder time controlling the three elements that make up the nature element individually. Fire, Water and Earth. Whilst a Magus with any of those 3 elements will have a much easier time learning the Nature element." Scamander continued
"That seems... A bit imbalanced?" I asked in confusion.
"Yes it is. But its because a complex element is like a puzzle whilst the basic usage of the main element of a person comes naturally to them. If the main element of a magus is a very complex element, it will take many many years for them to fully decipher the elemental intricacies of their own nature as well as many more years in relative to master their said element. It is no lie that the 'primitive' elements are easier to master and once you learn the process of mastering one, mastering another comes easier."
"I... I understand I think." I spoke, still a little muddleheaded. "So I should be hoping that my primary element is something basic and primitive?"
"Well yes and no. What I've said up to now are only for the average Magus. A genius like you... I bet you could easily decipher complex elements and master them like its your second nature. But there's no point talking about what-ifs at this moment. We're almost at the tower now, we'll find out very soon." Scamander finished his explanation.
[Data has been complied and fully analyzed. Enough data has been gathered to start simulation on the Energy Tree branch elements of Fire and Light. Further data and research into the Fire and Light element is required in order to simulate Plasma. Further research of the Plasma element is required in order to simulate the Lightning Element.]

"This... It is a lot of information to digest. Is it okay if I close my eyes for the night? Maybe it'll be a bit more clear to me in the morning." I asked in a groggy manner.
"Sure boy, I was getting tired after all this long explaining as well. Let us rest." Scamander smiled.

[The very basis of the Light element starts from converting a strange energy within the body of all 'avatars' within this world called 'mana' into light. Further data is required to analyze 'mana' further but it is safe to assume that 'mana' is used as a 'fuel' for magic.]

[I've simplified the process with the data gained from the book you had contact with at the potential testing. Magic usually requires a strange 'code' of a sort to take shape as well as a medium. The type of a medium seems to be able to make certain 'spells' easier and amplify them as well. The 'book' you had contact with seemed to have the properties making it easier to mold and use 'spells'.]
'Must be a rare treasure then... Wonder if I can get my hands on one' I thought as I remembered the countless 'barriers' I had created.

'What are these 'Codes' you speak of?
[It seems they are Latin words, the 'Medeor' spell that healed you earlier is a latin word that roughly translates to 'heal' whilst 'Obex' roughly translates into 'Barrier'. These are the only two 'Codes' that have been registered.']
