[Based upon the data that has been gathered, it is best to master the Aether element as quick as possible. There seems to be a large amount of hidden and encrypted data within your mana, they may contain secrets that may help in the decryption of the lock that prevents us from fully connecting to the net from this 'game world']
'I see...'
I lay upon the bed and stared into the darkness of the night, lost in thought.
'So. My real name is Dr. Jack Bloom. My current identity is of an avatar of this game called 'Unity. I am currently apprenticed under one of the strongest Magus, a dragon, and have a mysterious element called Aether as my main element... A.I may I ask you, what was my original intent in becoming an Artificial Immortal?'
[You had no specific goal doctor. Maybe you were simply blinded by the allure of being able to exist forever, in any form possible, or was just blinded by the fear of potential death.]
'I-I see... So I was weak...' I thought in disappointment of my past self.
[Your data, you may have a hard time seeing youself, resembles that of the non-players of this world. This means that if you did die or were killed, the game would eradicate the data from public view and archive it. But unlike the others, you seem to have an isolated location within the archives of the game where your data is directly linked to and thus would simply return to the 'white room' you saw before entering this world.]
'A bad news and a good news, hmm. Would I lose all my belongings and the people I've met forget about me then?'
[No, the non-players learn and evolve. They would 'remember' you in a sort, unless you change your avatar's model of course.]
'That's good to hear, but I would likely lose all my belongings or anything that was on me at the time right?'
[Correct]
'Sigh... Well I guess the first thing to do is get accustomed to this location, I feel like I'll be staying here for a while.'
[I recommend after 'getting accustomed' is to isolate yourself and go through the various simulations and get proficient in the control of mana. This may speed up the process in which you learn your main element once you start focusing on it.]
'Got it. But for now, sleep.'
[I have to remind you doctor that you are a being made 100% out of pure data. Although you can, you do not need to engage in the act of sleep.]
'I know. But unlike you, I still feel very much like a human being and all humans sleep. Also, the other non-players are 'coded' to sleep or take rest, it would be suspicious if I did not. Maybe in the future once my immortality is revealed to the public since then not needing sleep would be the least of the weirdness, but for now it is best to lay low and learn more.' I responded. Though I did not need the sleep, I did feel sleepy. Maybe it was just a remnant of the habits of when I had been 'alive'.
[...I seem to have missed such calculations. I agree upon this suggestion. Sleep well doctor.]
'Thanks A.I'
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
'!...Who would come visit me at this hour?'
I stood up from bed and walked up the door to open it, only to be greeted by Dorothy with a smile on her face.
"Sorry to bother you this late Deus. I've come to hand over your basic supplies and a gift from Scamander that he requested." Dorothy handed me two boxes, one large and one small.
"Oh, thanks." I responded as I received the boxes.
"The larger box contains your robe. Unlike the Senior Magi or Apprentice, Lady Silvia had personally requested the Artisans to craft a special robe for you, as well as a standard robe for a senior Magi. Also she created a special wand that is imbued with your element that she personally enchanted. As for the smaller box, that's a gift from Scamander and I have no idea what's inside. I'll be off now bye~" Dorothy, after seeing that I had received the boxes, quickly scurried off.
"B-Bye?" I responded after a delay but only after she had disappeared. "A fast one she is..."
I closed the door and placed the boxes upon a table. I opened the large box first to pull out the two robes and the wand. The first robe looked like the standard robes the Senior Magi, like Scamander and Mertho, had been wearing except it was silver and gilded with black silk.
The silver robe was silver as well but it was shorter in length, it barely reached below my waist unlike the other robe that reached all the way to my ankles, and seemed to glimmer in the light. There seemed to be tiny symbols running across various parts of the robe that was not visible to the naked eye and only with his special vision mode.
'Hmm... A.I could you scan this robe and analyze the data?'
[Already in motion.]
'Got it.'
I placed the robes down and picked up a wooden wand. The wood was ashy, almost dark grey, in color and was very straight. There was silver embedded upon the base of the wand and a strange silver light seemed to be running throughout the wand. It was around a ruler's length in total and felt like it was weightless.
'This too.'
[Understood.]
I placed the items down and proceeded to open the smaller box.
'!!!'
I found the strange book that Scamander had been carrying and used during the exam back on Cinders village.
'A.I, I think you have a lot of work to do. This needs analyzing as well... Though I wonder why Scamander had given me this... Oh there's a small note.'
"This is a special artifact that ages almost a century, it will help you in times of need. You just need to imbue it with mana and for a short duration, you will feel your mana density and purity having increased. Beware though, it will drain your mental energy as fast as you use it. As for the reason why I am giving this to you, I believe it will be better in your hands than mine." I read out loud.
'I must remember to visit and thank Scamander for this gift...' I opened the tome to reveal the mysterious words and symbols within before quickly closing it.
[I always have a lot of 'work' to do doctor. Though this tome is currently beyond my capabilties to analyze. I require more data before I can begin.]
'Alright, well help me find out more about that special robe and the wand while I sleep. I hope there's good news in the morning.' I reminded A.I as I walked back to my bed.
[Doctor, those two items will take at least 2 months if not more to fully analyze. The amount of compressed and encrypted data is no small feat.]
'Oh... Well, carry on then.'
[Understood.]
There was a lot to do. Both for me and the A.I...
