Ino's heart sank. She was mixed with confusion. She also wanted to cause an uproar and ask him, if he was happily married, why would any of that even matter? She also wanted to know what happened after that. Her eyes were fixated on Chester. Ino did not want to rush his story, but she was getting impatient.
She asked, "Then after that how did her and Cain come to be?"
"She told me thanks for pretending to be my boyfriend, to make Cain jealous. This came to a complete shock to me. Not once did she mention the entire time we were dating that it was for pretending. Because, I wanted to salvage our friendship and Cain's. I played a long," Chester said angrily.
He took a few deep breaths and continued, "Then not too long after, Cain called and said, 'thanks for making me realize I'm a dumbass and she's a great girl, that I shouldn't let get away.' It was like I got shafted. I felt wronged yet, still wanted to remain friends with them."
Ino was puzzled on the earful she was receiving.
"Do you still have feelings for Raina?" Ino, inquired trying to be strong if the answer was not to her liking.
"I don't have feelings for her, I have bitter feelings towards what happened and what went down. It was like I was cornered and had to choose between letting her go and pretending I was part of the plan or lose both my best friends." Chester explained.
She jokingly said, "Well from the looks of it, she doesn't seem happy that your taken by someone else. If you were petty you could return the favor, because I'm sure she would jump for a chance to break us up."
"I don't think that would help the situation." Chester said thinking about what Ino was suggesting.
Ino sat there contemplating what to say to help Chester feel better. Ino then added, "I was only kidding, love."
Chester was quiet, but not because he was offended. He kept repeating the words Ino said and let it marinate in his head. He did not think about it before. He could return the favor. He normally wasn't petty.
He forgave and let things go, but this was something, that ate up at him. He felt used. He was used to make Cain jealous. Cain obviously knew how he felt about Raina.
Cain decided to jump the gun and reveal his feelings, before Chester did on purpose. They basically put his feelings on the back burner. He did not want to hold this in heart. For he had moved on. He is happily married to Ino. He did not want Ino to feel like he wanted revenge, because he still had feelings for Raina. He stood up and walked towards Ino. He reached out and gently grabbed, both of her hands.
He broke the silence. He reassured her, "Ino, I'm happily married to you. The past is the past. I would not choose anyone over you. I do want them to feel, how they made me feel. But, not at the expense of potentially hurting your feelings or making you feel less than completely loved by me."
"I know your happily married to me. I am your other half, after all." Ino said cheesing.
Chester frowned abstractly and said, "We should not put time and energy into people that do no deserve it, I love you. I'm sorry about your earlier encounter with Raina. The feelings of betrayal came flooding back and I wasn't doing a good job at letting it go. Raina, She's just always been overly protective of Cain and I. I am use to her being rude. I will put her in her place, next time."
Ino's heart melted with what she was hearing. She smiled as she put her hands around his neck. At that instant, her eyes closed. She softly, kissed him.
Ino a while later whispered, "I love you back."
Food started plaguing her mind. She was hungry. Her stomach started growling. Ino blushed and laughed.
"Excuse me! I must be getting hungry, again," she revealed to Chester.
Chester asked, "What do you feel like eating? What are you craving?"
"Something Doughy, and maybe with egg custard. Like a donut or really big fluffy bread," Ino replied salivating.
Chester gave Ino a smile and told her, "Hmm... Donuts and pastries? We can go check out what they have and decide from there."
They got down to the commons area. They walked around and stared at all the food vendors to see what desserts there were to offer. Chester and Ino wanted to narrow in on which desserts would most likely be the options, that they would have to decide upon. They were strolling around, when Chester suddenly lost his balance. He had stepped on what looked like a kids toy. He fell backwards and hit his head on the floor. Everything happened so fast, Ino tried not to laugh from the shock of the incident.
"Chester! Are you okay?!" Ino examined his head, while lending out her hand to help him up.
"Yeah, I'm good. I meant to do that," Chester stated, he looked up as his face was getting red with embarrassment.
He looked around to see if anyone else saw him clumsily fell. He felt like no one noticed, except for Ino. No one else was showing a reaction, so he assumed he was in the clear. Loosely grabbing her hand and forcing himself up.
As he was getting up. He saw a doughy substance from a far. This might be the pastry food Ino was describing, he thought. He took Ino by the hand and started walking towards the vendor. In bright lights was a Deon's Delectable Pastries sign. The vendor was preparing a desert. The dough looked very big and floppy.
The pâtissier flattened the dough and dropped it in the fryer. About a minute later, he used tongs to remove it and it was ginormous. He then asked the customer what they would like on top of it. There was Topping's Menu consisting of Cinnamon Sugar, Powdered Sugar, Caramel, Strawberry Glaze, Blueberry Glaze, Pomegranate Glaze, Chocolate, Almond Butter, Bavarian Cream, and Egg Custard.
Ino's eyes lit up like a Christmas tree. She was practically drooling from the mouth watering, delicious, scent. She was wondering if they had a variety option, so that she could try all of the flavors. They waited in line, three people were in front of them. Ino's eyes searched for a variety option.
Chester teasingly prompted with a smile, "This looks doughy and there is an option to add egg custard. Is this to your liking?"
"A thousand times YES! I'm just having trouble on what flavors to try," Ino said.
She was ogling the desert, like a tiger hunting down it's prey.
"We can try them all, if you would like. Regardless if there is a variety option. Do you want anything to drink with it? Coffee? Apple Juice? Orange Juice? Coconut Juice?" Chester suggested.
Ino was staring at the fresh hot pastries being given to the customers in front of her.
