"Well good thing there is no one here, except for us, Mrs. Gold Digger." Chester replied with a gleam on his face.
"Ooh..." Ino said scrunching her eyes as she suddenly hunched over.
"Ino dear, are you okay? Do we need to go find a doctor?" Chester asked concerned. Chester was worried. He was wondering, if she was straining in pain or bothered. What was she doing? Why is her body position awkward. She didn't answer him. Chester then walked over to hold onto her. He watched her intently for any signs of distress. He was on guard. He would be ready if she was going to faint or throw up, he was preparing himself.
"Ino dear, answer me! Are you okay? Do you need help?" He asked again.
She next made a loose fist with both her hands. Was she going to playfully, surprise, and attack him? He had his guard up. She then brought her loose fist together and put them up to her eyes. He subsequently noticed her loose fist were mimicking the look of binoculars. Ino jokingly pretended to look all around the pod for eaves droppers. She eventually laid her eyes back on Chester.
"We do need to find a doctor for the baby later. I am fine, Mr. Gold Digger." Ino revealed.
"Ha Ha Ha! You are not funny. Do not worry me like that." Chester said agitatedly still holding onto her.
"You might not think I am funny, but you love me. Did I give you some grey hairs? I was just making sure no one was around to listen in on our conversation and hear you accuse me of being a gold digger." Ino explained wide eyed and kissed his soft lips.
"If someone was in here eavesdropping they would not be judging you for only being a gold digger. They would also judge you on the type of gold, you like to dig for." Chester chuckled, releasing their embrace.
Ino noticed the sun brightly blazing through the window. It seemed so much brighter without the Earth's atmosphere being the middle man. She tried opening her mouth to say something to reply to Chester. Ino ran out of words. She gave a cold glare. She was befuddled. She wanted to give a quick snappy reply, but no words were coming out. She thought of anything she could have said. Her mind was blanking. Ino then bit her lip. It happened, she ran out of comebacks.
Chester gazed at her. He was moving his eyebrows up and down rapidly, as he was waiting for a smart retort. They started staring at each other in disbelief of what their eyes and ears have just registered. Ino was out of words. Chester suddenly had a huge grin on his face as if he was satisfied being victorious in their discussion, because his words were met with silence.
"What's this? The infamous Ino has nothing to say. This day will go down in the history." Chester proclaimed sarcastically with both hands holding the sides of his face.
Chester nudged Ino slightly and Ino punched his shoulder playfully. She rolled her eyes and then voiced, "Come on lets just get going."
Chester nodded in agreement. Ino was leading the way. She headed out the door first. Chester followed behind her. She then stopped for him to shut the door. Chester made sure the locking mechanism was activated. Additionally, to ensure it was locked, Chester attempted to pull the handle without having his finger print scanned. The test was he preformed was successful. The door did not budge.
Happy with the outcome, he held out his arm for Ino to link onto. The plat form seemed less busy. He pointed out that more of the passengers must be spending time in their pod, because there was a lot less foot traffic, than normal. Chester matched his pace with Ino's. He did this when he observed that Ino had a hard time keeping up and seemed like she was part of the bird species, waddling like a penguin.
As Chester was walking he noticed an unfamiliar, light feeling, on his mouth. It felt a little oily. He assumed it was from the kiss they shared earlier. He concluded that it had to be sweat, saliva or Ino's lipstick. He trusted Ino, but was suspicious if she would continue to let him walk around foolishly to get a little payback for the little stunt he pulled earlier.
Chester did not think she would tell him whether or not her dark shade of maroon lipstick left a print on his lips. He used the back of his hand to repeatedly wipe off the reminisce from his lips. He wanted to get rid of any residue. Especially if it was from that of Ino's lip stick. He examined the back of his hand for a tint of color after each wipe, but there was none.
Other passengers were casually walking by. Each time a passenger passed them or took note of them, Chester smiled, waved, or nodded to give acknowledgement of each passenger's presence. Ino was examining Chester's mannerisms and glancing at the people passing by. She was noticing Chester's side profile. Chester caught her gaze.
Ino frowned and curiously asked, "Chester, do you happen to know any of those people? Why are you greeting all of them?"
"Are you jealous?" He questioned her with his left eyebrow raise.
She rolled her eyes in response. "No, what is there to be jealous of? I am just wondering why you are putting in so much effort to greet people." Ino exclaimed.
"I was not trying to make you jealous any ways. To answer your question, no. I do not know any of them. But, just because I don't know them does not mean I can't be nice. Everyone deserves some sort of greeting. It reminds people they are not a lone, even if they feel a lone. There are always other people out there." Chester advised.
"Are you that much of an extrovert? Maybe I am not a people person?" Ino exclaimed.
"Are you that much of an introvert? It could make someone's day. I believe every stranger a person meets or comes in contact with, even ones that passes them, are fated to them. Since they are meant to cross paths, why not acknowledge them?" Chester replied.
"No, I don't consider myself an introvert. I also, don't go out of my way to communicate or connect with strangers. Especially, strangers that I will probably not ever meet again." Ino stated.
"You should start. It is beneficially to you and them. Because, you don't know who they are, should give you even more reason to get to know them. Ino, you could possibly need their help one day, in the future." Chester advised.
"When I do need help, I will ask. But, until then I will leave them be." Ino retorted.
"Did they not teach you this in school. Follow the golden rule, treat others how you would want to be treated. I remember in grade school they tell you to say hi and always acknowledge people in order to not come off as uppity or stuck up." Chester said.
