Jax watched with complicated eyes and a heart full of tangled up thoughts as his older version continued drilling the ceiling above as though he wouldn't stop even if the entire building crumbled upon him.
The muscle numbing tremors he was enduring while operating the machine against gravity couldn't make him slow down in the slightest.
However, right when some gunshots rang through the opening from where he saw the girl from earlier, his vision darkened all of a sudden and he lost his bearings for two seconds again.
By the time he regained consciousness, everything around him was utterly quiet.
But this time he felt disoriented, as if a fatigue he couldn't endure embraced his already tired body. He even felt that it was hard to open his own eyes. He was dog tired and this situation was alarmingly familiar to him.
It was the same case whenever he finished having one of those vision moments.
