"You lied about the instruction?" Rob's unexpected question stunned Jax for a moment that he didn't know what he should say to make them believe otherwise.
How did they catch his lie so soon?
Did he speak out loud while talking with Nexus and spilled his inner thoughts?
But, Jax didn't remember opening his mouth at all.
So, he didn't give his plan of eliminating the other two away. Then, how?
"What are you talking about?" Jax decided to not deny it right away, in order to not water the seed of suspicion in their hearts. His voice sounded intense.
"Are you sure you are being completely truthful with us?" Rob countered, his voice brimming with the same intensity, but only much louder than Jax's, who was at most whispering softly to them.
