"Because those guys are runaway puppets." The agent replied as she pointed the now ready to be fired gun at Jax while nodding her chin at the three people standing beside him.

Nexus started explaining to Jax in it's sickly sweet voice when he started pondering about her words.
But then, Jax heard her speaking again, making the system stop its speech effectively.
It seemed like he thought 'out loud'. It didn't matter who answered him, though. As long as he got an answer, it was all the same.
"People who chose to get rid of the systems in their heads so as not to complete the tasks," she replied in a boring tone.
Jax who heard her couldn't help but feel strange. It was fine if they were called runaway participants, but why did they have to use the word 'puppet'. It didn't sound good in his ears.
