Venator walked forward, now geared up for battle.
He healed his wounds before continuing forward, the wounds he sustained, healing or open were now erased.
He marched towards the camp, the army and General behind him, carrying the sword and book for battle.
As they got closer, he could see the camp more clearly. A few soldiers walked around performing their routines, eating, patching wounds, training, and strolling around the perimeter. One guard in particular looked to be more armored than the rest, wearing steel metal armor sealing their entire body compared to the leather armor and riveted metal plates of the rest.
"Are those the survivors?" Venator asked himself. He quickly moved towards the camp, getting closer to it.
"That one looks important, hopefully there's no mages here."
Venator went closer to the camp until it was clearer to the eye.
"Magic's risky here, I gotta use it in small quantities," He unsheathed his sword, "Time to kill more scum with this."
With a short plan, Venator charged into the camp. Soldiers spotted him as he ran towards them, quickly shouting at the rest to prepare to fight.
A group of soldiers ran towards him, none bore the look of officers. Venator felt more confident as the flame in his hand grew larger upon seeing the soldiers.
In a few seconds of deliberation, a streak of fire set alight the group, quickly taking them out the fight.
More soldiers ran towards Venator in a scattered assault. Looking at one of them, the officer was running with his soldiers.
Venator's flame fizzled out upon seeing them, now preparing to fight with a sword.
Swords crashed into one another in a rapid frenzy as Venator began cutting through the disorganized fighters, his blade slashed across and stabbed through multiple, leaving corpses on the grassy ground.
The General and his army waited in the distance, slowly marching forward while Venator continued his rampage.
His frenzy stopped with his sword locking with the officer's, a moment of restraint struck him, seeing the officer in front of him.
He pushed the officer away, breaking the swordlock. He slammed the sword's butt into the officer's helmet, he fell to the ground in a daze.
On top of him, Venator threw off the officer's helmet, with one slam of the hilt, the officer grabbed his face in great pain, grunting as his unit lay dead around him.
The General ran behind him, carrying rope.
"Good work." He began tying up the officer's arms and legs until he couldn't move.
"Soldiers! Move to the camp and find any remaining." He ordered.
Soldiers marched to the inside of the camp, only a few noises of clashing swords
He took out a map, soldiers returning back out grabbed the officer from the ground.
"The next spotted camp is east of here." He pointed at a field of grass to the right.
Soldiers hauled out a few crates filled with different provisions. Without order, Venator gave his weapons back to the General. The General looked stunned at the action, quickly taking it and cuffing Venator.
"Soldiers begin returning to formation!" Soldiers carrying cargo began moving to the center of the forming square, away from combat with their hands full of different supplies plundered.
The General chained Venator back up, now that the battle has been finished with no deaths, and many plundered supplies to return with.
"Soldiers, we will march eastward, after that we may rest and await supply wagons to reach us there!" The General yelled while behind Venator, finishing the locks on the chains.
The army returned back to the march, leaving the camp and setting off to another.
The trip was mostly silent, Venator leading at the front in chains while the General stayed behind with escorts.
The orange tint swept away as the sun rose fully above, shining down a clear light to the soldiers.
What felt like an hour, the sight of the new camp was in their midst.
It was larger compared to the other, a small stone wall surrounded it with wagons just entering inside with their cargo. Venator and the General scoped it out.
"Supply wagons, more soldiers, and stronger fortifications." The General observed.
Fighters all walked around, a few clad in steel stood by, barking orders at the fighters hauling off the boxes and crates.
"I suggest you fight using your sword against the soldiers, them packed with important officers and vital supply wagons would be greatly beneficial if we bring it back." He explained, starting to unchain Venator from his restraints.
"The soldiers will engage the enemy, but you'll still have to stay a distance away. If you find any officers, try to bring them back with haste to our rear." The General continued.
The chains were off, and the General returned his sheathe & book.
"Remember, use it very sparingly, lest we will return with nothing to help our people back in the city."
Venator walked away, the soldiers behind him began moving forward, creating a line formation of shields.
Venator's steps became quicker with each step until he began sprinting towards the camp.
Fighters inside spotted the attacking army, soldiers everywhere in the camp scrambled to grab a weapon to fight, ceasing their routines and leaving the wagons exposed as they drove inside for protection.
A few groups ran out, now holding their ground outside the camp while the rest stayed inside, holding smaller shields and swords.
Venator crashed into the outer group, starting to slash around violently without using fire or ice. The soldiers were confused but retaliated.
Venator slashed through each of them, sustaining cuts in the process while soldiers inside the camp refused to step out.
The General's army arrived, now running directly at the wall of fighters defending their camp.
Officers stood behind them, observing the battle with safety.
Venator killed the remaining fighters of the group, now watching as Bellunamien warriors ran forward, quickly moving away towards the entranceway, away from the soldiers. The General ran wit his men, carrying a sword and shield in hand, prepared to fight without fear.
