What's this terrible shock?! I spring up, it's still night. I fall off the tree and land on my face. Springing up, I felt terrible amounts of excitement spiraling and spreading fast. I turn to look into that direction, I have a bad feeling. I run off, hopefully they aren't there. The feeling of bloodlust is getting closer, it stops abruptly. When I get there, I see someone standing in place. I quickly duck behind a tree before he could notice me.
I take a peek, it's Hisoka. Wouldn't that mean? I glance around the area, I don't see anyone. I place my ear on the tree, hoping to feel a heartbeat. I hear it, I make my way in that direction. I see Gon, I don't think I should bother him. He seems to be focusing. I hide, I'll just observe for now. Morning comes, it's already the 3rd day. Hisoka finally starts moving. Gon follows, I follow.
Gon jumps up a tree, I keep to the floor. He's found something. He runs off somewhere, I follow. He stops abruptly. I hear footsteps approaching. Gon looks scared, maybe I should help? Nah.
I can hear a charge, Hisoka leaps abruptly towards an applicant with a big nose. Gon looks prepared. Big nose looks like he's going to fight back. Gon throws his fishing rod, he snatches Hisoka's badge. I see a dart hit Gon's neck. Wait what? Gon stands out in the open, he stares at Hisoka. He runs off before Hisoka could follow him.
I follow Gon, he starts to stagger. He falls onto the floor, I stop abruptly too. Someone approaches Gon, I become annoyed. As he tries to take the badge from Gon's bag, I throw the sword that guy who killed himself had. He dodges it, that doesn't stop me. I charge, he shoots darts at me. I dodge them, he picks up his, um, stick? And blocks my kick. I jump back.
Esther: "Get away from Gon!"
Gon: "Esther, is that you?"
I ignore Gon. I charge to him again, running passed him and picking up the sword. I use that to dodge the darts as well. As I approach him, I can feel someone staring. I grab a dart that is in midair and throw it at his leg. He doesn't notice since I distracted him with throwing a rock to his face. He dodges that though. We fight for a few seconds more until he starts to stagger. Looks like that poison of his is kicking in.
He falls to the ground, I walk up to him. I take the sword and linger it above his chest. Before I could plunge it into him, Gon shouts.
Gon: " Wait! Don't kill him. He can't hurt anyone anymore."
I stop just as it's touching his shirt. I turn to Gon. His eyes are telling me that this isn't a good idea. I sigh as I tuck back in the sword and walk to him.
Esther: "Fine…"
Gon sighs in relief. Before we could speak, I feel bloodlust coming from where that man rests and the sound of crushing. I look and see Hisoka has killed that man. He approaches us, I gulp.
"My what a marvelous display of fighting you did. I must say I'm absolutely excited from just watching."
Esther: "What do you want Hisoka?"
"Nothing much, just came to check up on Gon."
Gon twitches.
"You hid your presence from me while you were waiting for your chance to strike. Biding your time until that very moment I attack someone else. Did you learn how to conceal yourself all on your own? Marvelous. You're like a wild animal. And your time was just impeccable. You were able to conceal your bloodlust by cleverly hiding it behind mine. Masterfully done."
He turns to me.
"his dart delivers a fast acting muscle relaxer. In a normal person the effects last about 10 days. There are 4 days left, I'm sure by then, he'll make a full recover."
Esther: "Not gonna take your badge back?"
"Keep it, I'll just earn some points to pass it."
Gon: "Wait! Take your badge back, I don't need it!"
Esther: "Gon! Sit back down, you need rest."
Hisoka turns around and sees Gon standing up, holding his badge out to him. He chuckles and slowly walks forth.
"I decided to let you live for now. And I plan to continuing to let you live until you're worthy of killing."
Hisoka almost punches Gon, I grab his hand though. It's only a few millimeters away from Gon's face.
Esther: "Did you really think I'd let you hurt him?"
I punch him on his face, that leaves a scratch on him. I can feel my hand that I used to block that punch with numb. I can feel bloodlust coming from him. Before I could do anything, he punches me. I black out.
