Mon. cont.
"Get up," one of the men growl. Eclipse glances at Takeshi who does a small nod before standing to his feet. She quickly follows.
"Drop everything then put your hands up," they growl. Takeshi and Eclipse put their things down slowly before putting their hands above their heads.
"Now walk," one speaks, motioning towards the other four who were with the Abath. They walk towards the rest of the group who all smirk at the sight of them.
"Looks like we had some visitors," one man laughs.
"What're you doing out here you two?" A woman's voice fills their ears. She steps out of the brush and becomes visible. Some strands of her jet black hair lightly swayed as she walked while the rest of her hair was pulled back into a loose ponytail. Her dark brown eyes studied them as she approached. She looked to be in her late 20s or early 30s. The black trench coat she wore was similar to the ones the men wore. She wore black laced heels that went halfway up her legs to her knees over her skinny black pants. She wore a dark purple vest over a light gray shirt.
"The lady asked you a question!" One of the men slaps the back of Takeshi's head with his hand.
"We're doing essentially the same thing as you guys," Takeshi replies. Eclipse quickly notices that his voice much different than it was earlier. It was harsher, deeper, and darker.
"And that is?" The woman's eyes focus on him.
"Hunting," Takeshi speaks.
"Is that so? Well. Where's your weapons? Where's your meat? Where's your evidence?" She raises an eyebrow at him.
"I don't need a weapon," he slightly glares at her, his voice slightly cocky.
"How do you plan on hunting without a weapon?" She laughs.
"Wouldn't you like to know?" A small smirk crosses his face.
"Ok, if you don't need a weapon, then why do you have her?" She glances at Eclipse.
"She carries everything," he continues to smirk.
"Then where is everything?" She studies him.
"We left it at a special spot. When we get done, we go back, get our bull, take him to the spot, and then load up before going back home," Takeshi slightly shrugs.
"Hm. Ok. Well. Back to you not needing a weapon," she stands a foot in front of him as two of the hunters hold him.
"What about it?" Takeshi's voice is sturdy.
"Why don't you need one?" She raises an eyebrow.
"Hunting dogs, black dogs to be precise," Takeshi studies her.
"Black dogs? The ghost-like dogs?" Confusion hides in her voice.
"Yep. Back home we breed and raise them for hunting," Takeshi nods.
"Where might home be?" She smirks.
"Like I'm gonna tell you," Takeshi nearly laughs.
"Fair. I'll give you that," the woman lets out a small sigh.
"What should we do with them ma'am?" One hunter asks.
"Let em go, leave em be," the woman shrugs.
"But Oak!" Another hunter starts.
"Shut it!" The woman snaps at him, turning and quickly slapping him in the face. The hunter stands there for a few seconds, obviously in shock, before snapping back to reaction.
"Apologies ma'am. It was out of line and I apologize," he takes a small bow.
"Now let them go," she growls. They quickly let go of Takeshi and Eclipse. Takeshi glances at Eclipse before moving and taking her hand in his.
"It was a pleasure meeting you all, safe hunting!" Takeshi gives them a small wave before leading Eclipse away from them.
The two get back to the city as the sun sets. After going to the Church and giving their reports, Takeshi goes home and falls asleep in his room.
