Y/n POV
I woke up to the annoying sound of birds. I looked up to the clear blue sky and sighed.
'It's only 8 o'clock,' I got up from my position and stretched out my paws. I checked my wound under my fur. It was already healed but it had a small scar that was slowly shrinking as I looked at it.
'That's normal...whenever I got hurt it would always heal fast...I don't know why though' I wondered as I got up on all fours I decided to walk about. I don't know where I am in this unknown land so why not.
As I walked around I noticed how beautiful this forest was. It was all peaceful until I was hit with a horrible odor that came with the wind.
I dropped to the ground and covered the nose with my paws and whined out loud.
"What the heck?!" I gagged. I had gotten a grip and had decided to follow the smell out of curiosity. I have dealt with worse in the past. The smell fades away quickly once you get used to it.
I mentally gagged while walking closer. When I stopped in my tracks I looked around me to be aware of my surroundings. The smell was coming from behind that bush. I just looked at it in disgust. I didn't want to see what was behind the bush.
'I don't want to do this anymore.' I took a few more steps forward in the direction of those bushes. I was standing right beside the bushes, not wanting to look at the other side.
I walked around the trees to get to the other side of the bushes to look at what was there. I saw a dead and rotten deer lying beside the bush. I walked to the rotting corpse and stood right in front of it. I gently poked the body with my paw and saw bugs and flies fly out of the mouth...but aside from that when I poked it I heard a loud whine.
' Isn't this thing supposed to be dead?' I looked around to see if anything else had made that sound. I found myself looking at the deer's body and the damage that had been done. Its skin was torn apart and chunks of it were missing. By the looks of its neck, someone or something have snapped its neck.
As I was examining the body, I noticed the small rises and falls come from a lump under the body. I moved the dead deer a bit and noticed a tail. More whimpers erupted from just that small movement. The deer was laying on its baby!
"Bloody Hell!" I yelled in surprise. I Immediately grabbed the dead deer by the neck with my mouth and threw to the other side. Well, that was my intention at least. I watched as the decaying body flies through the air and out of sight.
' Oh dear,' I cringed when I heard the distant THUMP. I felt a shiver down my spine.
No one saw that.
I averted my attention back to the fawn. It didn't even look like an average fawn. It was covered in dried crusty blood, it was bruised and beaten, and it was so thin that you could see its skeleton. If it weren't for the obvious rises and falls coming from its chest, it would have been mistaken for dead.
I saw it shivering from either the cold or in fear, or both. It looked so weak that I doubt it would be able to stand without falling a few times. It finally had the courage to look me in the eyes. I saw pain and sorrow in this child's eyes...
'Now I have to take care of it don't I?,' I took into my embrace and wrapped my tail around its small body. I licked the fawns face clean from the dirt and blood. It was frozen with fear but it relaxed when it saw what I was doing.
' I'm pretty sure there is a stream nearby.' I sniffed the air and closed my eyes to listen, I felt my ears twitch when I heard the sounds of running water. I opened my eyes and looked back at the fawns form...
' I guess I have no choice..'
I shifted into my human form, allowing the sun to warm parts of my body. I let out a satisfying sigh when my bones popped in the right place. I stretched more and looked down at my attire.
I was still wearing my black leather jacket with a black tank top under it and some dark blue jeans. I had curves in all the right place, I was a bit too skinny for my liking but other than that I still had a strong healthy body. I grabbed the fawn gently and put it in my arms. It shivered a bit as I held it.
I walked as quickly as possible towards the closest stream. We found a stream thankfully and I set her down gently. I ripped the bottom part of my tank top off and dipped it into the water.
I walked back to the fawn and cleaned her with fresh water. She was a royal fawn... She had red ears, spots, and the tail...but normally when it comes to royal deer and fawns they normally outcast for their differences and treated anything but like royals. After I had finished I found some berries by the creek.
I grabbed the berries and walked back to wake up the sleeping fawn. I laid the berries in front of it and left it to eat. I decided to take a quick nap. I shifted into my wolf form and laid in the sun
I was only asleep for a few minutes before I felt something biting my ear and hearing rustling noises. I opened my eyes and saw the fawn shaking in fear and staring at something behind me.
I looked over my shoulder and saw 9 huge wolves with different color eyes, staring at me with a sudden realization.
" Oh, crap."
