Chapter 72 - Chapter 72: Going Down

Sythyon was speechless and obviously never expected Lothor to say something like that. Lothor continued. "Now that Dagger's gone I don't see a point in getting revenge on you if I'm just going to end up alone anyway." His eyes then moved to everyone behind Sythyon. "Sorry to all of you as well." He turned to me and only then did he smile softly. "Especially to you. I only wish that I believed you when you said it wasn't too late for me..."

Confusion entered my expression. "Wait, what are you sayi-?" All of a sudden, in the blink of an eye, a knife appeared in Lothor's hand and he immediately turned it around, stabbing it into his chest. "Ahhh!!" The knife went through his heart and he fell back to the ground. "Lothor!!" I screamed and ran to his side. Sythyon did the same but it was too late. I felt his neck and anywhere else trying to find a pulse but didn't succeed.

He exhaled and closed his eyes and his body became lifeless. I then felt more tears well up in my eyes and fall down my face again. "No..." Sythyon looked at Lothor's body emotionless for a moment then stood up. Arine came over and stopped a few feet away. "Why did he do that?! He had just decided to change!" I stood up as well and wiped my tears away. "Because he didn't think he was worth forgiving..."

Sythyon then walked over to me and pulled me close to him. "It's over now." I stood in silence for a moment in sadness until I looked around and then back to Sythyon realizing something. "No it's not. I still have something I need to do." Sythyon let me go and I walked up to Cienar. "I know you liked this place. I can return it to the way it was. Would you like that?"

Cienar looked at me in surprise. "You can do that?" I nodded and smiled softly. "Some things are best left kept a secret right?" Cienar smiled back and I turned to Sythyon. "Can you teleport everyone besides me and Cienar out of here and onto the ships?" Sythyon raised an eyebrow. "Yes, but what are you going to do?" I smiled again. "I'm going to test out my new magic." Sythyon returned my smile. "Stay safe." Black smoke then surrounded everyone besides me and Cienar, and they disappeared a second after.

Cienar turned to me after they were gone. "How do you plan to put everything back to the way it was?" I took a breath trying to recover from crying, and raised my hands. "Like this." White magic then came out of my palms in slow beams in every direction, clearing the fallen pieces of stone, rebuilding the buildings, and making the bodies disappear.

I was done with the whole city in a matter of seconds and then the magic disappeared. Cienar looked around speechless. "H-How is that possible? You fixed everything! Even the buildings that were broken before!" I looked at my hands. "I don't know, it just happens. Well I'm not done yet." I raised my hands again, but this time magic surrounded the entire island and we started to go down quickly. I created a shield around the dome so no water would leak through as we started to go down into the sea.

We went below the surface and quickly to the bottom of the ocean where the original birthplace of the city was. As the stone reconnected itself, The cavern that the city was in came back together like puzzle pieces. I then removed the water that had flooded into the original entrance, and turned the staircase back around and put it back correctly in its original place.

The shield then disappeared and the city stabilized like it had been untouched for centuries. As soon as everything stopped moving, I fell to my knees in exhaustion. Cienar kneeled next to me worried. "Silvera! Are you alright?!" I nodded catching my breath. "To be honest, not really." he then hugged me overjoyed.

"Thank you so much! You have no idea what this means to me!" I smiled and stood back up again, and Cienar followed. I remembered something and raised my hand again. some more magic appeared and Cienar's staff replaced the light. I grabbed it from the air and handed it to him. "I noticed you didn't have this with you." He took it from me surprised then smirked. "I could totally get used to you using magic now." I smiled back then noticed that I could see the treasury from where we were standing. Treasure was still overflowing from the entrance.

"Oh no, Johnathan was probably too busy admiring the gold that he didn't get a chance to bring it back with him. He's not going to be happy when we get back..." Cienar shrugged. "It belongs here anyway." I then got curious and turned back to Cienar. "Out of curiosity, why is it so important to you that the existence of Atlantis stays a secret?" His eyes then dazed over as if he was replaying a memory in his mind.

"I knew an Atlantian. Though he never told me where he was from until he was on his deathbed. I never just happened upon Atlantis, that's impossible. When he was about to die, he said he was the last of his people and gave me a map to the city. He said that I was the only one he trusted to protect the city after he was gone. I took it very seriously, though it turned out I wasn't the right choice in the end."

I gave him a serious look. "Of course you were! Most people probably would've just robbed the place or told everyone about it! You gave the location away to save your friends! And if I have any say in this I'd tell you that the lives of the people you care about are so much more important than a dumb old city!" Cienar then sighed with a smile. "I missed you." I returned his smile and gave him a hug. "I missed you too." I pulled away a moment after and realized that the others were probably worried about us.

"It's time to go." Cienar nodded and I surrounded us with magic, and in the next second we appeared on Johnathan's ship with the others. Arine and Ikko ran over to us. "Guys! We're so glad you're okay!" Said Arine. "Silvera how did you do that? That was amazing!" I was flattered by Ikko's comment and smiled brightly.

"Thank you. It was just some magic." I then noticed Johnathan leaning on the railing with his back to me on the other side of the ship and I walked over to him. When I got there I tried to explain myself. "Johnathan I'm sorry! I didn't know that you didn't get any treasure before I sunk the island." He then dropped his face into his palms. "It was so much gold!!!" he sobbed.

I felt guilty then got an idea. I used some magic and a large bag appeared in my hands. It was so heavy that I almost fell to to the floor. "Hey, maybe this would be a start to an apology... If you'd accept it?" He then raised his head and turned to me looking at the bag. He had an irritated look until he saw what was inside. He reached in and pulled out a handful of diamonds.
