Chapter 73 - Chapter 73: Back To Home

His mouth dropped and he looked inside the rest of the bag quickly, seeing hundreds of more diamonds. He froze and I had to wave in front of his face in order to snap him back into reality. He took the bag from me and I looked at him nervously. "I know it's not as much as the treasure in the city but I hope you like it." He looked back at me with a relaxed expression again. "Two things. I love you. And how did you do that?"

I laughed. "Im a unicorn! My magic is all about making others smile!" He smiled in response and Ikko then came up next to us. "Hey we're going to take Lothor's ship so Johnathan doesn't have to take us anywhere else." I nodded. "Okay." The mention of Lothor brought back some sadness into my mind but I did my best not to show it on my face.

I smiled and waved to Johnathan as I followed Ikko to Lothor's ship. "Bye! Thanks for everything! I'll make sure to visit!" He waved back to me and when we were on separate ships, we headed off in different directions officially ending our adventure. I was glad that I could finally relax after everything and I was also happy that everyone else could too.

Almost everyone. Cienar had fallen asleep tired from controlling Lothor's ship the first time and also from everything else that had happened to him so Sythyon controlled the course. I was worried about him but he insisted when I told him we could just use the helm. It was night now and everyone was asleep except me and Sythyon. Arine was asleep in the crows nest and Ikko was downstairs in the cabins with Crucifix and Cienar. With Ikko's help, Crucifix was completely healed now but was still weak.

Ikko hasn't left her side since, though when they wake up in the morning I'm going to see if I can at least restore one of the things Crucifix lost today. I walked up to the helm where Sythyon was sitting against the back wall looking onto the ocean. "Are you feeling okay so far?" He didn't look at me. "The same as I did five minutes ago."

I sat down next to him. "Sorry I keep asking. I'm just worried." He rested his chin on his hand and wrapped his other arm around me pulling me close. "If you want to do something for me you can let me feel your soul." I looked up at him and he was still looking over the ocean. I then layed against him and did just that. After a moment of silence I began to think about everything that happened today and how Lothor had met an end. I tried not to cry and Sythyon noticed. "What's wrong?" I closed my eyes. "Nothing." He sighed. "I know when you're lying. Are you thinking about Lothor?"

I waited a second to answer. "I know I shouldn't be sad over him, and I know everything he did was horrible, but... He was family." Sythyon stayed silent waiting for me to continue. "In both the lives I remember, I started out with no one. Then you and Lothor came into my life and I couldn't help loving you both so much." Sythyon tightened his embrace around me and finally looked down.

"I understand. He was my brother. But what I'm happy about is that he died apologizing instead of me having been forced to kill him myself." I realized he was right, and if Lothor had to die I'm glad that he did now as the person I've always seen inside him, instead of the person he always forced himself to be.

In the morning, the mainland was in sight and everyone had woken up excited to go back home. When I got a chance I walked up to Ikko who was holding Crucifix's hand so she could walk around easier. I told them about my idea and used my magic to try and heal Crucifix. I warned them that it might not work but to my surprise, a pair of amazing grey angel wings appeared behind her back. Ikko gasped and Crucifix felt the bandage on her eyes. "Um Ikko?!" She then took the bandage off, and Ikko and I stared in astonishment as we saw that Crucifix's eyes were completely intact and beautifully bright yellow as before.

"I can see! I can see you!" She immediately hugged both of us tight then just me individually. "Thank you so much! You gave me back everything!" I hugged her back just as excited. "It's no problem at all!" When we reached the mainland we said goodbye to Cienar who needed to go back to his kingdom and take a smacking from his father for being gone so long. But before he left, Sythyon did something completely unexpected and gave Ikko, Arine and Cienar portal keys to the Underworld so they could visit me anytime.

I was so happy that I didn't have to wait forever before I could see them again. And so much happier that our goodbye wasn't sad like the last one. Arine took the ship and headed back to Devil's island so he could catch up with Harper and Felix, and Ikko parted from us last.

He went back to his place with Crucifix in Fallen valley. I never knew where Ikko lived until now and I was so glad that he wasn't alone anymore and had Crucifix with him. I didn't know for sure what happened between them but I overheard Ikko telling Crucifix that her female form was gorgeous in a very flirty tone, and she slapped him right after. So there was definitely something going on.

As for me and Sythyon, we made it back to the castle fast because Sythyon opened a portal. The first thing we did when we got back was eat. We both have been starving for days and we definitely made up for it. Though despite that, when we arrived I truly felt like I was back home.

After eating, I went back to my old room to get changed into some new clothes. After I was done Gabriel appeared. "Oh hi again!" I waved. He smiled and greeted me. "Hello Silvera. I just wanted to tell you that I saw everything that happened and I'm glad that you're alright." I was happy he cared enough to tell me and smiled brightly. "Well my new power helped out a lot." He then patted my head. "Yes. You're the unicorn I knew once again." My smile faded.

"Come to think of it, I don't remember meeting you in my past life." He looked away smiling nervously. "That was before I started to bend the rules..." I laughed. "Well I'm glad you do now." He stepped away smiling. "I'll see you around." I waved and he disappeared into a light again. The room was silent as it was before and I walked out of my room and headed towards Sythyon's.

'I hope he's resting. He pushed himself far too much.' I thought starting to fidget with my fingers. I wondered what was going to happen to him once he was out of complete demon form. I knew it couldn't be good so I had to at least be beside him while he was going through it.
