Chronos was crouching in front of a shabby gravestone. Tears filled his eyes, threatening to spill out, any moment. His mind was in turmoil. Anger, helplessness, relief, anguish, all kinds of emotions were present in it. He did not understand what to do. Sighing, he stood up, wiping his tears away.
" Marcus, let's go. Don't we need to talk to the principal of the Cherry blossom High school in the morning? " " Yes, young master. " Markus revved the engine, prompting him to get into the car.

Chronos was absent-minded till they reached the school entrance. Markus cut the engine off and held the door open for him to step out. Standing on the road, Chronos looked around and found her staring at him. The moment their eyes met, all the feelings that he suppressed deep in his heart burst forth like an unstoppable torrent, overwhelming him. He almost flew towards her position.
" Mind guiding me the Principal's cabin? " he asked with a voice so gentle, Markus gaped as if seeing an unbelievable scene. " Sure, wh ... why not? " she answered. He was so happy, he wanted to lift her up and twirl round and round, but restrained himself.
" Excuse me, sir. That girl is a devil spawn, a bad influence. Please allow me to guide you instead lest she causes trouble to you. " the class representative of Selene's class stepped forward. AND HERE I SEE A DEVIL CALL A HUMAN DEVIL AND ACCUSE HER.
" No thanks, I am good. " he casually shrugged her off. Grabbing Selene's hand, he walked out of the crowd. He was really angry at the girl but restrained himself. He felt her soft hand almost melt into his and cooled his head off by savoring her touch and presence.
" Which way? " he asked. " Um, to the left of the third building from the right, there is a road that leads to the academic building. There, you can find the Principal's office on the third floor. " she answered with a disinterested tone. He felt bad upon seeing her depressed.
To distract her from her sorrow, he playfully asked, " You are not going to escort me? " " Just like the class leader said, I am an unlucky person. Please find someone else. " Selene bowed her head. " You are fine," he answered, sternly. He wanted her to have confidence in herself.
Stretching his hand out, he wordlessly ordered her to grab it. She hesitated for a while before reluctantly holding it. They walked towards the principal's office, hand-in-hand. His mind was in cloud nine from the happiness he felt. He almost skipped in joy, but slipped and almost fell.
Selene, with her cat-like reflexes, immediately caught his waist and held him from falling. Their eyes met. Chronos desperately wanted to give a crushing hug to his beloved upon meeting her gaze, but couldn't. She immediately straightened him and dusted his clothes.
" Are you all right? " " I am fine, you are fast, impressive. " Chronos wanted to praise his beloved but cried at her expression that said, 'don't be sarcastic' IT ISN'T MY FAULT THAT MY FACIAL MUSCLES DON'T MOVE LIKE I WANT TO. IT WAS GENUINE PRAISE, YOU KNOW?
The principal made a disgusted expression upon seeing Selene. Chronos was enraged but kept his silence. Selene stood behind him as if his servant. He dragged her into a chair and sat beside her, causing further distortion in the principal's expression. He was truly enraged now.
" I wish to give the lecture at 02:00 at noon. Good day," spoke Chronos as he literally dragged Selene away from the disgusting pig in his eyes (principal). He held her waist tight till they reached the entrance but she paid no attention. He was happy at the touch but sad at her plight.
" I'll wait for you here by 01:30 pm. Be sure to guide me to the auditorium. " Chronos gave himself a back pat (mentally) for being able to propose a one-sided date with her. He would walk around with her and her alone till it is time for the lecture. He chuckled after getting into the car, scaring Markus even more. He fell asleep, dreaming about his date with her.
WHY DID I DO THAT? I AM SUCH AN IDIOT. MY MIND SOMEHOW DOESN'T WORK WHENEVER SHE IS AROUND. STUPID, STUPID, IDIOT, SHE WAS PUNISHED TO STAND ALL DAY AND THEN FORCED TO STAND THROUGHOUT THE LECTURE. WITH A TIRED BODY, SHE CANNOT ESCAPE ... NO, NO, NO ... THIS IS NOT THE TIME TO THINK ABOUT IT.
" Markus, go back to the school, now!! " " Yes, young master. " Markus reversed the car and sped off towards the school. He had never seen his young master this agitated. He had to hurry so as to ease his young master's mind. It was the very purpose of his life, 'live for Chronos, die for Chronos'.
