Selene stood at the edge of the bow, leaning onto the railings, she stared at the sea and the stars. Her mind was completely peaceful, unconcerned of her fate.
Meanwhile, Chronos stood a small distance away from her, hiding in the darkness.
He silently gazed at her face, completely ignoring everything else.
She was so close, a mere hand length away, yet was so far, he wouldn't be able to reach her even if he ran all his life.
This dissonance in his perception of her made his head hurt.
Sighing, he drowned in the sea of his memories, memories he never shared with anyone, except the one person in his heart, Selene. But, not even she knew the existence of them.

It was a remote village, currently in a festive mood.
Every adult was indulged in decorating their houses and porches, faces brimming with joy were the only ones visible to people.
Children played with their friends gathered from all over the village, generally displaying a joyous mood.
But, there was one boy, silently crouching, no sitting at a corner, scribbling something on a notebook.
A girl, as tiny as he was, approached him and asked " What are you drawing? "
A rare smile bloomed on the boy's face as he tightly hugged her out of nowhere, giggling.
" I was drawing you, my Moon!! " he happily told her.
" Hmph, you never call me by my name, so stingy, " the girl admonished but threw her arms around his neck while pouting.
Grinning goofily, the boy dragged her to a wide grass field, all the while holding her tiny hand so that she wouldn't fall.
After all, they were barely 5 years old. If not for the grass field being the property of the boy's father, they wouldn't be allowed here without the supervision of an adult.

The boy was attacked by a stray dog a year ago.
The girl saved him by scaring the dog away by pelting it with pebbles.
The boy's parents arrived soon after.
His wounds were superficial.
He wasn't infected with any disease as the dog didn't manage to bite him.
But, the boy went into a coma after the attack.
The girl held the boy's hand and stood still, waiting for him to wake up.
After a month, the boy stirred awake.
The boy indeed woke up, but, there was a change in his demeanour. He was now cold and distant, like an iceberg.
-------------------------------------------------------------
The boy enjoyed playing with the girl as he was drawn to her.
He was attracted to her innocent face, that hid the valour and tenacity of a warrior, albeit immature.
