Chapter 7 - Elemental Awakening Ceremony ...

Lion-Men Tribe, Drylands. One year a.M.

Perhaps for fate, Mufasa was born on a full moon day and after a long time, today is the first full moon night after his birth.

(Author: Writing this, I ended up realizing that today is a full moon day kkk ... "is it a destiny thing?")

And following the traditions passed down by the ancestors since the most primitive times, when the newborn of the tribe's leaders is ruled by their first full moon in life, their birth ceremony will take place.

This ceremony is very important for the tribe because with the ceremony for the ceremony of the son of the leaders, all children under the age of 10, together with Mufasa, will participate in their awakening ceremonies.

Then, the whole night the tribe will gather to celebrate and ritualize with dances around a giant bonfire.

Then the son of the leaders will be blessed by the Druid of the tribe.

The Druid is the spiritual leader of the tribe, he is the one who has a connection with the will of nature.

This will governs the natural elements and is responsible for the magic of the world.

There can only be one call in each tribe and whoever chooses to present someone with this gift is nature's own will.

From the moment they are chosen, when young and virgin, they are uniformed to live a life of self-denial of the duties of the flesh.

In other words, you are not allowed to relate emotionally to anyone. They can't have families, either.

Coming back ... Finally, all the small children of the tribe who have not yet awakened, including the leaders' son, through the local call will be baptized by the four elements.

Shendu`s POV

Today is the expected date!

My son Mufasa will be baptized today.

A year has passed, it has developed well ...

From the moment of his birth I have not failed to notice something in particular about him. Mufasa is very quiet and silent for any child-beast. He should be loud and energetic like all the other kids and how I was too.

I find myself scared to this day when I sometimes see him sitting like a statue with his eyes closed and legs bent. It is strange what he does, especially for a child who is only one year old, but I think he should have fun with it.

In the end, what matters is that he is happy.

I don't know how I should feel about my son's future ...

Kora and I realize that Mufasa is blind!

One day when we tried to play with our son, we realized that he was not following us with his eyes. He was there ... static! looking at nothing. Then we realize that our child's eyes are opaque. We found that Mufasa was possibly unable to see.

Without being able to see, how will our son be able to be a warrior? How can he fight for the right of the tribe's leader? How is he going to survive on this land? He will have to depend on others for life !?

I cannot accept that our son will be useless for life!

He has the blood of me Shendu!

I know that now the whole village knows that my son is blind ... I know that in the shadows there are the damned conspirators, who instigate and suggest to others, that Mufasa will not be able to fight for his right to be the future leader of the tribe.

And they say that his only option is that he may be lucky enough to be chosen as a druid by nature's will.

You despise me, my wife and my son behind your back ...

But what really matters is that Mufasa can grow well, happy and healthy. Is not it? ....

Lion-Men Tribe, Drylands. Night of the same day.

It was a night of festivities. It was night of cultural dances around the campfire. A good place and time to meet new people and even find the love of your life.

The moment was beautiful, smiles could be seen on all sides and young people played and fraternized.

But now it was time for the Druid to make his entrance.

The Druid was a woman-beast at an advanced age. A lion-woman with brown, wrinkled fur. His mane was no longer so glorious, it was mostly gray.

She wore a brown dress made of animal skins. Her dress was long-sleeved to below the knees, and on her head was the skull of some beast with horns and feathers. And finally, around his neck, there was a necklace adorned with some cat's fangs and in the middle there was a beautiful multicolored stone. (Author: An Opal! Beautiful by the way.)

As the members of the village approach, they give space for it to pass. arriving in front of the fire, with his back to all the members who watched it, he begins with his initiation ritual.

Singing in an ancestral language in front of the big fire, it evokes the will of nature.

In a mystical scene, the bonfire that was furious, remains calm as if waiting for the command of the flame.

Thus, she commands the leaders to introduce their son.

Mufasa on Kora's lap, is brought by her to face the Druid. She with one of her big, sharp claws slightly pierces the little baby lion's forehead and a drop of blood runs down her forehead.

Then, in something unimaginable, the drop of blood floats in the air and the bonfire goes alone.

The drop of blood comes into contact with the bonfire.

Incredibly it doesn't burn! A small part of the bonfire comes in contact with the blood and they combine with each other.

Finally this drop of blood, now wrapped in an aura of red fire, returns to where I come from and finally the baptism of Mufasa is over ...

Now it was the last part of the whole rite tonight ...

It was time for the elemental awakening!

Everyone was looking forward to this moment. Even those in the shadows despising and conspiring against Mufasa were happy for this moment.

All children, when they reach 10 years old, naturally awaken their elements. But for special reasons that will be dealt with in the future, at the leaders' son's awakening ceremony, all children under the age of ten are forcibly awakened by the Druid's powers. Fortunately, when it is through the Druid, there is no side effect to this procedure.

All the children come forward to the Druid ... Mufasa is placed a little further by his mother. He sits, strangely for everyone, sitting still as if he knows what is going on.

The Druid, who was in front of the fire, turns and continues to sing with an ancestral language still doing his ritual. Raise your hands to the skies and the fire behind you grows explosively and lights up everyone present.

Waves of elementary energies are manifesting everywhere!

Close to each of the children, the elements chaotically.

EARTH, FIRE, WATER AND AIR!

Everyone was apprehensive! Awakening will not happen for children who are not strong enough. No one knew how many or which children he could awaken, and that even applied to the tribe's own son.

So what remained for all members of the tribe was to wait for the elements to come into harmony with nature and children.

In the meantime, Shendu and Kora hope hopefully that their precious son will not fail and show everyone that he will not be the waste that some say he is in uniform to be ....
