Chapter 17 - Inspiration: Part 1

Nathaniel felt conflicted. He had no idea what to serve for the banquet. He sighed feeling a little lost and wondered if he needed to be productive.

"Maybe a little adrenaline rush would help my brain to start up." Opening the counter door he stretched his body before twisting it.

Liquid splashed on the floor staining the wood. He then took a leather satchel under the counter and went to the storage straight after.

"Hmm, I should take the Magic Pencil and the Magic Drill for defence." In his hands were two objects.

A golden clutch pencil with white wings on the upper left and right side of it. On the other hand was a yellow electric drill with metallic wings, on its side was the Libra sign.

He stored the mechanical pencil in one of his pockets and the drill was stored away using his Spatial Magic.

"And just in case I find someone interesting I'll take the Pinwheel as well." The shop owner eerily smiled.

"Henshin." He spoke softly converting into his masked form. This time he wore an all black suit with a red tie embroidered with a golden character.

He wore a top hat and a blue gemmed brooch giving him a mysterious and dazzling look. "Warp." His body shifted slightly as it dispersed into smoke.

He was gone from the shop and reappeared somewhere in the forest. Walking aimlessly without any destination he realised that he was being cornered.

'Three? No four beasts?' He whistled trying to catch them off guard while he formulated a plan.

His Spatial Magic enhanced his perception to the point that he could detect anyone within the space of 50 meters from him.

The crunching of the twigs confirmed their locations which after figuring out where they were he stopped moving.

He smiled and propelled himself backwards. Facing a boar that was right behind him, the wild beast charged feeling provoked.

As the boar inched closer Nathaniel jumped midway and somersaulted into the air and landing on top of the boar with an unsteady gait.

"Whoa!" Balancing himself he then held onto the boar's thick hide angering it even more. The boar desperately tries to shake him off and tried to call his comrades to attack.

But it was futile. "Sorry little boar but; your friends need some time to chill out." And before the beast himself knew it he was trapped in a desolate ice dome.

The dome shook but it never broke as if it was seemingly indestructible. "Ah it seems that your friends are trying to break through; that's impossible but I applaud their enthusiasm."

He laughed dryly making sarcastic comments towards how they were strong enough to even make his dome shake.

But as he said it was impossible for them. Unless they used fire or anything heat inducing it was unlikely that they could break a multilayered and very thick ice dome.

"Well I should end you right now, right?" Grabbing the tusks forcefully Nathaniel twisted the boar's body as it squealed in resistance.

Its body visibly drying out into a husk as massive rivulets streamed down its vigourless corpse.

Nathaniel cupped his hands and moulded a transparent goblet from ice. Lifting the head up twisting it once more carefully letting a fair amount of juice to drip down into his goblet.

Swirling the juice around he bought the goblet to his lips and gulped it all down. Satisfied wth the results he then bought down the dome.

In his right hand was the drill, his index finger near the trigger, he twirled it around before aiming it at one of the dazed boars.

He breathed lightly and pulled on it. A high pitched whirring sound occurred and a laser appeared in front of the boar.

It's head began to contort and twist before exploding into a bloody mess. A scuffling could be heard and in the corner of his eyes the other boar had already ran.

But it was too late, his laser followed the other beast and shot it in the back.

The entire fiasco was a mess. His eyes glowed slightly, the sun overshadowing it's bright light.

His hair grew a little longer and the tips were a bright yellow. Blood seeped out from his crotch and the sign of the Libra constellation appeared in neon yellow on the back of his right hand.

"Tch, to think I'd have to actually waste my lifespan on this." Even though he could have fixed every single one of the problems for using the Sticks he found it a bother and only fixed the ones he sold.

Besides he wanted to see what happened after he added the 'boys can become Administrators as well' rule.

After this ordeal he never encountered another beast for a while until he came across a lake.

There in the water was a ginormous white scaled snake with a compacted keratin horn the size of his head.

It's yellow eyes gleamed with hunger as his tongue flickered in the air. But he did not have time for such things.

He raised his hands and pressed on the trigger of the drill instantly killing it.

The lifeless corpse fell and it's blood contaminated the water with its venom

filled fluid.

"Yuck, now I have to purify it." He dipped in his fingers and clenched his fist. A light purple enveloped him as his body grew.

Much to his dismay growing in size while his clothes grew along with him felt a little weird. But for some weird reason his pen and satchel did not grow.

After the redness in the lake reduced he then picked the corpse up with ease due to his gigantic size and threw it aside.

He then extended his fingers out down in an bow and arrow position facing the lake. He thrust his fingers forward and an intense liquid blast split apart a crater imprinting it into the lake.

He did so a few more times, gradually returning to his original size. Sighing in relief he breathed out a turbid breath.

"To think that my ability to alter a Devil Fruit's wavelength could bring forth such deadly power." The reason for him being able to separate that liquids was because he changed his Devil Fruit entirely.

Like how Caesar altered his Devil Fruit with his chemical knowledge, Nathaniel used his power to be able to seperate liquids and improve his offensive capabilities.

From compressing liquid into water-balls instead of blasts or transferring liquid into others he could do many things with it.

Cracking his knuckles he went forth with his journey and left the corpse for other beasts. After all he had no use for snakes.
