Opening a portal for the royals to return to the castle, Nathaniel had also created portals for Eliza and Sheri.
"Master, there is a new customer." Athena had checked up on the surveillance system and had realised that two girls had arrived.
"Oh, thank you. Let's go guys, we can't keep our customers waiting now." We went outside the lab and from there separated since they had other jobs to do.
But Lydia had an important task. "Ah, right Lydia I need you to check up on our stocks and total our revenue from the past few weeks." She was our accountant.
Due to her plea to help out she was tasked with taking care of our money and merchandise.
As it turns out she was very good at her job which was surprising since she was sheltered for most of her life.
She nodded and disappeared down the seemingly endless hallway. Only Rude and Walter were with me.
On my left Rude closed his eyes, blue sparks crackled as he walked forward. He avoided every obstacle in his path.
This was the power of his Devil Fruit, the Rumble-Rumble Fruit. He was now a Lightning Human.
This was somehow a good thing since he was basically a living electric generator. No need to install one, just use a live one!
That was why I had tasked him to power up the shop through his powers. Of course he was also my security which was why the defence system was under his control.
This meant that not even Athena had authority over the safety of this shop. All she had to do was watch out for suspicious individuals.
Beltram took on a job that involved going outside. He had to hunt for beasts and occasionally bandits to steal their souls.
Those souls would then be compressed into a Soul Gem. Athena's power source. Of course I had now upgraded her to become able to run in electricity and solar energy.
Anyways thanks to Beltram's new form he was able to bring fear into the hearts of others that even savage beasts feared him.
That was due to the Dullahan's natural intimidation. Of course he can make his intent feel amiable and genial but he felt that being feared was better than being loved.
In his words. "Love is but a fleeting thought, but fear is different; it follows you like a shadow, creeps it's way into your heart and consumes your mind. Stripping you of your sanity."
I had wondered if he was okay or whether he had gotten drunk from drinking the alcoholic juice I created, which, now I remember he had actually stolen.
He denied it instantly but I was still worried. With a concerned look upon my face I walked down the stairs.
'This store is really weird. Why are the rooms and hallways all going into different places.' I pondered on why my shop was confusing.
One time the hallway would be in the door near the break room and the next moment you'd need the stairs.
It was conflicting and very frustrating but we had gotten used to it. Walking with a steady gait I coldly walked towards the waiting room.
There standing were two girls of the same age as Rude chatted. I looked over to the latter as I saw his hair stand.
Static electricity erratically burst forth. He had an expression of disgust and was emitting an obvious murder intent.
He seemed to hold a grudge against these two. Looking closely I saw that the girl with puffed sleeves had a signature glow in her eyes.
It was a neon magenta glow. The only people with a magenta glow in their eyes when casting magic was. "A royal?!"
I shouted finally coming to a conclusion. It was probably Princess Tia from how Rude was acting.
She laughed seemingly pleased with the turn of events. "Ariana." She simply said, the girl beside her nodded and raised her wand.
"Aquarium Jail." Water materialised into existence completely encasing Rude inside the water sphere.
Foam started to coalesce as it rotated. A faint salty scent invaded my nostrils. It was seawater.
"Walter! Cut the sphere down. Now!" Simply nodding Walter transformed one of his hand into a giant scissor.
Raising it up high he slashed down. Entering the orb he slowly opened the blades parting the water.
"Mâché Collapse." Closing the blades once more he gently smiled and thrust his free hand forward pulling on the collar of Rude's clothes.
The ocean water doused the floor, the carpet becoming soaked with the scent of the sea.
That was too dangerous. While I had completely gotten rid of the swimming curse from the Devil Fruits seawater was still able to dampen our powers completely.
I did this in case someone had intentions of abusing the powers. That was why I had replicated Seastone Cuffs.
Coughing vehemently Rude stood once more. He used the heat from the electricity to dry himself up.
"What do you think you're doing in my store?" I used a cold tone on them intending to have them fear me.
Tia still smiled licking her perfectly glossed, ruddy lips. It creeped me out but I knew what she wanted.
To bring Rude back. "No, who do you think you are? You're just a peasant who is lucky to be in the presence of Lord Rude."
Her remarks pissed me off. She was truly a b*tch like Rude had said. I laughed and bought out my Grimoire.
It was time to show her how powerful I truly was. A blue leather bound book adorned with purple tears and a four leaf clover appeared in front of me.
"Cursed Ice Magic: Sub-Zero Frost Pain." I casted an Ice-based curse that sent literal chills to the spine.
It caused frostbite whenever one tried to harm anyone that was in possession of my magic crystals.
Floating above Walter and Rude were two ethereal icicles. They were the protection spell I casted on them.
"Ice Creation Magic: Frozen Barrier Lock." The icicles glowed and started to change shape transforming into an ice dome over them.
The book flipped and I casted a spell of a different attribute. "Spatial Magic: Pinpoint Return."
It was a spell that returned the target back to where they where around an hour ago.
It had almost succeeded if not for Tia's interruption. "Forced Cancel!" It was a spell directed to all the magic power in the room nullifying any spells within her distance.
Tsk!
I was annoyed by her persistence and had realised that this was what Rude may have felt towards her.
Fury. I had about enough of her so I casted another spell. "Ice Creation Magic: Frost Golems."
Several gigantic figures with disproportionate figures appeared. Their eyes had holes where it would've been and had giant jaws with long protruding sharp teeth.
They all attacked the two but the girl called Ariana casted yet another spell but this time of the fire element. "Sweltering Flash." A wave of heat emanated from her causing in the rise of temperature.
My golems had evaporated and completely transformed into steam. This time I was really pissed. "Ice Magic. Spatial Magic: Spatial Blizzard Storm."
Several glowing oval shaped portals cornered them forcing the two to huddle up. I smirked and released a heavy tempest of ice and snow.
Using the portals to endlessly sustain the storm I had began to use Sub-Zero Frost Pain once more.
It was plainly obvious that I was sick of them and wanted to punish them for incurring my wrath.
But once again Tia had intervened cancelling the magic. "How dare you?! Do you know who I am?! I am Princess Tia, Daughter of King Desna!"
I nodded, the Desna Royal Family, it was obvious that no one would dare to incur their wrath but not me. "Who cares. Once you're in my shop status won't matter. The only way for you to escape is to buy something or sell your soul."
I emphasised the last sentence to show her that she had no way of escaping since I could freely capture her anytime with my magic.
Veins popped up on her forehead. She was clearly mad. "Besides who are you to Lord Rude anyways?!"
This was her true motive. To find out what my relationship with Rude, truly it was such an obvious intent.
Anyone could have guessed that from the start. Even Rude knew but his next response was out of hand.
He stood up and leaned on me, tip toeing he pecked my cheeks. I started to blush, Ariana gasped and for some reason Walter looked exasperated.
My power activated, since I was embarrassed and the mood seemed quite good rose petals started to blow in the wind.
The rosy perfume made my nose itch. I resisted the urge to sneeze since it was impolite to do it in this situation.
"He's my Master." Rude coolly replied infuriating Tia even more. While she was off guard I used Pinpoint Return again and this time it worked.
The two girls figures distorted as space tore open sucking them into the void. I bade farewell mockingly and slumped down.
She was truly a troublesome one. Looking over to Rude I blushed which caused Walter to stare at Rude with an intense rage.
"Sorry about that. I knew that in order to send her back to where she came from she needs to be distracted." He hastily replied awkwardly trying his best to clear the misunderstanding.
This was a huge relief to Walter but he still seemed to have an intense rage burning deep within.
I sighed, if only I had Rude's Compassionate Gratuity or Walter's Reticent Communication.
'Oh, Walter's pouting. What the heck that's so cute!' Walter showed signs of shock. It seemed like he used his ability to read my mind.
Looking away I released a turbid breath and focused on the cool cup in my hand. I had created a wine glass from ice and squeezed a sandstone into it.
Throwing away the dry husk I began chugging it down and freed myself from all my stress and woes. It seems like tomorrow was another tiresome day.
I just hope misfortune won't follow this time.
