You wake up the next morning up and notice that Sam got back and had a metal arm that looked like an exact copy of his other one.
"Good mornin', what do yeh think?" he says and shows it off
"That's amazing, but it must of cost an arm and a leg"
"Great choice of words" Chloe said ironically
"Aye, ah would have gone broke if he didn't owe me a favor, oh an' here's some breakfast" he handed you a wooden plate with bread, soup and water on it, "Its not much since most of th' food storages burned down, this is the standard ration" as you start eating Markus walks in holding a package.
"I hate to cut this short but Andrew you need to go, Now!" he seemed panicked
"Calm down, what's going on?"
"Th-the guards, they've been suspicious of me for a while now but now there finally coming to search the place illegally"
So the time for me to leave has already come... "Is there anyway I can escape?"
"An' if need be I can buy some time" Sam volunteered
"Here" he handed you the package "It has a cloak that should be able to cover most of, if not all your armor and and a blank white mask it only has eye holes so you cant eat in front of people until you leave the county, it may be a little suspicious but it's not illegal and the guards shouldn't stop you for that alone, along with your adventurers ID you should be fine, and there's also some food for the journey"
You start to put everything on but you here pounding at the door "They're here already!?"
"Ah guess that's my cue. Andrew, ah hope we'll see each other again."
"How much more are you gonna do for me? I already owe you my life"
He chuckled "An' don't you forget it, Now go on already!"
Markus pulled me back "I installed a secret back door just for this moment, c'mon" he went over to a wall and pushed on it before it gave way opening a door to the outside "I have to stay here, go through the south gate and head straight, you'll have to go through a mountain range but its the fastest way to Marxis, Hurry!", you turned around to close it but it was too heavy to be pushed quickly, the last thing you saw was Sam bursting through the front door like a maniac and being immediately suppressed by a swarm of guards, he looked at you and smiled before getting knocked out by one of the Captains. However angry and regretful you may be it wouldn't help to stay here so you left and went straight to the south gate to leave as quickly as possible you had to walk passed multiple guards that looked at you suspiciously but Markus was right, none of them actually stopped you and as you were walking through town you saw wanted posters of you everywhere... You finally made it to the gate. There was a gatekeeper waiting, seems like they upped security, usually the gates are open during the day.
"Name and purpose for leaving"
You started to panic, luckily you had the mask to hide it. You couldn't tell him your name he'd alert the others
"Hello! Anyone there?"
You pulled out your adventurer ID and said
"Im leaving on a mission, im supposed to clear a group of monsters that have been blocking the road for an incoming caravan" you said and put away your ID before he could inspect it closer.
"So some of you actually managed to survive huh? OPEN THE GATES!" right as he said that you could hear cranking and the gate raised. Luckily you managed to make it believable enough to fool him, you managed to escape Sindrie and as you left the city you could see the mountains in the far horizon.
