Chapter 15 - Henderson

It has been a week since the run in with Bell, and I haven't seen or heard from him since, which would normally be a good thing but his last actions worry you. The town's reconstruction is going well, the wall has already been fully repaired, and lately you've been going on missions with Silas, Rogue and Ollie, you've become rather attached to that little group. You haven't seen Sam since you parted ways but your sure he's fine. Overall life has been "peaceful" since you got here, there haven't been any more monster attacks and they've cleared out from the area around the city which does concern you a little but you ignore it.

Right now your heading to find Henderson after remembering what Cindy said and have him teach you swordsmanship. You enter the Guild Hall which has a lot more people than when you first saw it, "Hey Silas!"

"Hey, what's up?"

"Im looking for Henderson, have you seem him?"

"Hmm, I would try his room or the training grounds"

"Thank you" you check his room first, which you learned is right down the hall from Bells, you knock on the door and get no response. You go back downstairs to the training grounds and hear him talking with someone else, you turn the corner and see him and Simon talking, "Henderson?" they glance over at you.

"We'll talk more later Simon" Simon then leaves and go's back to the bar "What can I help you with?"

"About a week ago Cindy the blacksmith told me to talk to you and that you'd teach me swordsmanship"

"Cindy huh? She must've taken a liking to you. Since she's the one asking, very well, meet me here everyday at sunrise, if you miss one day we're done. Let's have a quick match to let me see where your at" directly after he said that he attacked me and just like last time you were on the defense but it seemed slightly easier this time "Alright. You have improved since we last sparred but not enough to be worth mentioning. I have important business to attend to so see you in the morning." He walked away and out of the guild hall.

You arrived right on time every morning for a little over a week and every morning Henderson would be waiting and teach you till noon, the training was excruciating and difficult and everyday we would spar with each match getting easier and easier until you could both keep going until he said stop. "Congratulations, you finally can be a sparing partner for me, I have to admit with a proper teacher you learn extremely fast" he said with a certain sense of pride.

"Thank you?"

"You should consider it an honor, not many people here can go toe to toe with me. You don't need me anymore"

"Thank you for helping me so much, it's far more than I imagined"

"Goodbye Andrew I hope we meet again, good luck" he walked out of the guild hall and after that a few days passed and nobody saw him again.
