Chapter 2 - The Sanchez Apocalypse

Alice Sanchez, six years old. The one and only daughter of the successful businessman of a Vietnamese coffee chain, Trung Nguyen, and one of the highest-paid American rockstars of all time, and Lombriz De Tierra who was a stripper but quit to be a teller at the Nevada State Bank.

She came banging on Aiden's door with tears in her eyes; desperate for help. And there was Olivia, standing in front of her, answering the door with an incredibly perplexed look on her face.

"Alice?! Wha--what are you doing here?! Your house is far away from here; you came here all by yourself; are you crazy?! Get inside!" Olivia yelled as she saw the little girl standing in the pouring rain on a stormy day with black and gray clouds with lightning scattered across the sky.

"My---my-my-my---(pant pant pant)---mom-- and-- dad---(pant pant pant)---" Alice started huffing out her reason for being there, but nothing of substance could come out of her mouth. She murmured as her vision became blurry like the fog entered her eyes and evaded her vision.

As Alice fainted in Olivia's arms, Olivia yelled out of concern, "Alice! Alice! Oh my god! You're burning up!"

She gently tucked her into bed, ran to the kitchen, took out packets of ice from the refrigerator and placed them on the burning forehead of the six-year-old. Since Olivia was working in the medical field, she gave her a bunch of antibiotics and applied Vicks Vaporub on her chest. While she put the child to sleep and gave the child the required medication, the next thing Olivia did was angrily dial Vincent's number on her phone and made an incoming call.

*ON THE PHONE*

"Mr. Pancypants Sanchez! Do you have any idea what you have done!?" She yelled.

"Look, Olivia, I don't have time to listen to your hissy-fits! Alice is missing! I'm gonna call the cops!" He screamed back.

"Shut your snarky comments, you idiot! I called to tell you that your daughter came banging on the door and fainted with burning fever at the doorstep!" Olivia shouted.

"Wait what?! Oh my god! Is she okay? What happened to her? How high is it?" Vincent started asking a number of questions in apprehension as his anger dialed down.

"Calm down, Vincent. I have given her medication, and she is sleeping. She will be fine in no time." Olivia tried to console him to make him feel better.

"Okay, that's kinda relieving. I'll be on my way." Vincent replied.

"Hey, while we're on the subject; did you and Lombriz have a fight or something because before Alice fainted she did stammer something about you and her," Olivia questioned while placing her hands on her hips.

"We're getting divorced," Vincent answered in a voice that wasn't shaky nor that displayed any signs of hesitancy.

"WHAT?! HOW?! WHY?!" Olivia yelled in surprise while clutching her hands onto the phone.

"I'll be there in ten. I will explain the details then. See ya." Vincent responded and then hung up the call to make his way to Aiden's mansion.
