Tristan did as he was told and got himself registered in the Academic Alliance. Just like the Vast Expanse, he could directly connect to it via the internet, so he didn't have have too many hassles.
However, when he read the training mission that the Principal had set him, his face became blue and purple.
"Training Mission (Special) - My favorite student is worried that her brother has not found a girlfriend yet. Go to the Rabbit World and spy on the little brother without letting your presence being alerted to at any cost. If he finds out he would blame his sister and you will have to take responsibility."
"What the...What is this?" Tristan's face was turning purple before he turned sour and walked back home.
He looked up information about the Rabbit World, it was an ally of Humans and a very gentle planet. It was cohabited by the Rabbit Clan, a species of beings which were human like, but had rabbit ears, tails amd paws. They excelled in speed and had extremely acute senses, especially hearing. It was very hard to spy on their activities if they were vigilant.
When Tristan read this, he felt a little serious. May be the mission wasn't as simple as he thought.
He left immediately for the Rabbit World, hoping to find out the truth before university began. After a series of teleportation hubs, Tristan had finally entered the rabbit world. Even before he had entered, he had hidden his presence and abilities as much as he could, disguising himself as a tourist. However, the moment he entered the rabbit world, he found that the rabbit clan members looked at him in fear.
Tristan was confused, he tried to appear extremely gentle and powerless. His false intent hadn't failed like this before. The immigration official stuttered as he looked at Tristan. "Ex..expert please don't hurt us!"
"I am just a student here for holidays, I am not an expert." As naturally as he could.
"Okay... if you say so...Expert." The immigration official said, clearly not believing him.
Tristan went to the human township where humans on the rabbit world lived. There he sat down at a cafe, but again, all the employees who were from the rabbit clan looked at him with fear and stayed away from him. Finally a human waiter came to ask for his order.
"Why do the rabbits look at me with fear?" Tristan asked. "Even if I am very far away from them, they appear to be scared off me, but not you, or others here."
The waiter smiled. "Sir, is this your first time to the Rabbit World?" to which Tristan nodded.
"The Rabbit clan is extremely sensitive. If they are afraid of you, it means they can sense danger from you. Although as a human you are appearing to be really harmless, no matter how you try to hide, the rabbits will be able to understand your true intentions. Simply stepping in their area of sensory perception is enough for them to understand your hidden intentions.
This is the hardest part about adapting to the rabbit world as humans. You have to slowly learn to adapt your body." The waiter said with a smile.
"Adapt your body?" Tristan asked.
"Yes. There is a training program taught by a rabbit clan elder here. I can give you a reference." The waiter said.
Soon Tristan was walking to a small dojo like establishment, which said human body training center.
When he entered the dojo, he found people were doing exercises similar to yoga under the instructions of a rabbit clan person. However, the moment Tristan entered, that rabbit clan teacher immediately became extremely fearful, but then controlled her instinctual fear.
From inside an office, a snort was heard and a very old rabbit limping with a walking stick walked out.
"Grandfather..." The rabbit teacher said.
The old rabbit shook its head. "You.." It pointed the stick towards Tristan. "Come with me."
Tristan followed the ancient limping rabbit into his office. Then the old rabbit spoke.
"You seem to be young for a human, yet you have such a ferocious aura. An evolved like you strikes instinctual fear within my clan."
"You can tell I am an evolved?" Tristan said, this was only the second time, first being the principal.
"Your body is screaming it out. Haven't all my kin being running away from you?" The old rabbit clicked his tongue.
"My body..." Tristan became contemplative.
"Constantly being in life and death has conditioned your body to always be vigilant lile a spring, ready to retaliate. It is an instinctual behavior, your eyes, your feet, your breath, your heart beat, your hands and your back posture are the movements when combined can easily be used to identify your intent, even if you can hide what is inside you."
"I will teach you to control your body. I will teach you how to hide from the senses of my clan, however, I want something in exchange." The old man said.
"There have been abductions going on of rabbit clan children at night. We have not been able to find out the culprit, but I suspect it is humans. I want you to investigate the truth for me." The old rabbit said.
Tristan sighed. Was he going to begin life in the university by missing the opening? Whatever, it was a mission the principal himself assigned. So I hopefully don't have to worry about it.
"When do I begin?" Tristan asked.
"Now. You can join the exercise group outside, I will supervise your exercise. Or else if I leave it to my grandson, he will be constantly fearful of you." The old man said.
Tristan nodded and went and joined the group on in the exercise hall outside. The old rabbit made him stand in the front.
"Begin." He ordered.
The rabbit teacher nodded and ignored Tristan. He displayed the first exercise to the group. The old man spoke to Tristan." Focus on this first form. Now do it."
Tristan shrugged and did the first move shifting his back forward and his hands in a weird position, bending his knees to form a 73 degree angle. With Tristan's control, it wasn't too hard. However, the old man spoke now. "Hold this position for two hours!" Even the teacher looked shocked.
Tristan was oblivious and nodded. After a few minutes, he immediately began feeling heavy strain. His body was showing slight tremors, which shocked him. Was his control over his body was so weak? He forcibly tried to continue and barely managed to pass an hour.
