Chapter 60 - Neffy

When Bennett heard Tristan's analysis, he was stunned and had an epiphany. Indeed, his own tactic was wrong. He bowed towards Tristan and thanked him for the advise, stepping down from the stage.

Finally when Tristan was about to leave the stage a cough sounded. He turned around to see a woman with rabbit ears and a rabbit tail. She looked extremely attractive, but her face exuded anger.

"You! What did you teach my brother!" She roared.

Emily looked weird. "Isn't this the teacher for freshman year?"

Tristan looked at her and immediately understood. "Don't blame me for your brother's choices! He deserves to choose his own path."

"You! Twisted! You twisted my brother! I won't be a teacher if I fail to punish you!" She roared and jumped on the stage. A terrifying aura emitted from her.

"You, who have broken through the third level is going to bully a freshman on his first day at university? Really good." Tristan didn't back down.

"I don't need to use my third level powers against you. I will compete in terms of skill." The rabbit snorted. She understood the logic of a senior bullying a junior being shameful.

She rushed towards Tristan with a terrifying punch. Tristan shook his head, what an excuse. She still had the absolute physical advantage even without using innate skills. She was thrice evolved after all, Tristan could easily see she had crossed the third level in her practice.

Tristan had no choice but to use aura. Suddenly his own fist turned black, but there was a hint of purple as well from the newly absorbed bits of Life Aura from the Wand of Eden. The two punches collided and the air rippled for the collision. The rabbit woman backed of a step, while Tristan backed of five steps and coughed out blood.

However, his recovery immediately triggered and he was fine again. He had a wild look on his face. He hadn't had a chance to really put himself in pressure in a proper battle since the Combat Tower and this was a good opportunity.

The rabbit woman was strong, however she hadn't evolved her physical body, only her practice had broken through the third level. Still she was powerful, every fist was filled with powerful intent of a spring like force.

Tristan began using a modified version of Ares tactics which couldn't be identified as he moved around in a discretionary fashion, distracting the rabbit woman and landing punches. The continued fighting for several minutes like this.

The other students were shocked. "Tristan was so powerful, he could stand up to this teacher and not lose."

The rabbit woman was shocked as well and even more frustrated. The fight became the two became more and more intense and Tristan looked more and more excited. This was the pressure he wanted. He was constantly being blown back, cough up blood, then stand again like nothing happened and attacked.

"Is this... innate talent?" Arthur wondered out aloud. Emily nodded. "It seems he has some kind of recovery talent. It is very powerful. He is indeed correct, the path of evolution seems to be the strongest path."

Then a voice sounded behind the two of them. "Don't be fooled by him. Not everyone can evolve with the kind of perfection he is able to display. If you can evolve to perfection you can of course stand over others, but evolution is also a matter of luck. That is why only the fearless follow this path."

Emily and Arthur turned around and were shocked to see Aesop, eating popcorn while watching the fight.

Tristan was clearly at the defense in the fight, yet because of his healing ability, he was able to out endure the rabbit woman, who couldn't recover mid fight and was exhausted.

"You... damn you!" She screamed and suddenly her eyes went red and a powerful red sphere formed around her as she exploded towards Tristan. Tristan was shocked and immediately teleported in a clever way to barely miss the red sphere which had been hurtling towards him.

Everyone was stunned. No one else noticed, but Aesop's eyes twinkled. So interesting!

Tristan looked at the rabbit woman. "Crazy woman! Are you trying to kill me? Didn't you say you wouldn't use any abilities? Shameless!" Tristan used the opportunity of the moral high ground and quickly left the stage. He didn't want to die at this Rabbit woman's hands.

"I...." The rabbit woman was stunned. Shock and disappointment appeared on her face as she looked at Aesop, who suddenly realized the issue and was stunned as well. The rabbit woman then hurriedly left the gym.

Aesop sighed and followed behind her. "I got so interested in this young man, I forgot about her... She lost control again..." He thought to himself, rushing away as well.

Tristan was tired now. His body was filled with caked blood from the punches and kicks, but the wounds had already healed. "Jeez, I'm hungry." He said as he walked away. Everyone looked stunned and shocked.

Arthur had only one word. "Crazy! Absolutely Crazy!"

Tristan stopped for a minute and looked at the students. They were scared for a moment. He then asked. "Who was that rabbit woman just now?"

"Rabbit woman... that was our freshman teacher, I heard she is a second year genius and student of the principal." Arthur said.

"Oh, I know she is the principal's student. I meant what is her name?" Tristan asked.

"Neffy." Emily said.

"Okay. See you tomorrow. I need to eat and rest now." Tristan yawned and then walked off.

"Weren't we supposed to have a class with the Neffy teacher today?" Someone asked.

"You think that is going to happen after this... massacre?" Another added.

Emily shook her head and left behind Tristan. She quickly caught up with him. "You have more than one innate talent?" She asked.

Tristan just smiled. "It is not good manners to ask such questions."

Emily turned serious. "I want to follow the evolution path like you. If you have multiple innate talents, I would like to know."

Tristan nodded. "I do have more than one innate talents. But this situation, is rare. It depends on the plate."

"Plate?"

"Indeed. evolution is not just the sublimation of the body into a new species, but of forming a plate. The plate is your vessel of innate talents. The quality of your plate determines how powerful your talent would be and the size of the plate determines how many talents you can have.

The goal while evolving is to form the strongest and widest plate possible. When you break through the first level of that space art, you can try to temper your body with treasures to reach the limit and then you need pressure to evolve. The more pressure you have, the more powerful your plate. Life and Death is the best place for evolution."

Tristan added. "If you really want to go along the path of forming a plate, I will send you some of the research about how to train to form a plate. I'm sure the Academy might be able to teach it as well, considering that rabbit woman actually is an evolved, that too she has evolved thrice.

However, different species have different evolution methods, the rabbit woman doesn't seem to have a plate, rather there was something wrong with her eyes."

Emily was in deep thought.
