Chapter 55 - Progressing

[Race: Duality (Human Form)]

[Evolution: First Plate, Physical Evolution I, Energy Evolution I]

[Progress: 20%]

[Plate Talent: Sovereign Raven Tattoo]

[Mental Energy: 11]

[Physique: Curse Immunity, Corrosion Resistance 35%, Supreme Human Body + 100% Aura Cladding, Earth Energy Body + 100% Wood Essence]

Tristan looked at his status and then the two unlocked quests. He first took a look at his Energy Body Evolution Quest.

[Energy Body Evolution Quest - Earth Energy Body]

[Defeat Energy Creatures of at least first evolution using only Energy Body:

Defeat 1 = F

Defeat 2 = E

Defeat 4 = D

Defeat 8 = C

Defeat 16 = B

Defeat 32 = A

Defeat 64 = S

]

Tristan was put into thought. His energy Body was useful at the moment as a trick, He hadn't had the time to explore his abilities with the energy body. Perhaps the quests are designed with this intention in mind, Tristan thought. He then looked up at the physical evolution quest.

[Physical Body Evolution Quest - Supreme Human Body]

[Compress the Aura Cladding -

40% Compression - F

50% Compression - E

60% Compression - D

70% Compression - C

80% Compression - B

90% Compression - A

??? - S

]

The Quest is quite simple in text, but is extremely hard to execute. Tristan had already played around a bit with his Aura and it was extremely hard to compress it. There wasn't any information about tactics to compress the Aura Cladding within the Dominating World which Ares taught him.

Tristan realized that he was stuck on a bottleneck with both the body evolution quests and couldn't evolve them quickly.

Tristan then finally turned his eyes to the the Sovereign Raven Tattoo. He took out one 'feather' a strip of mysterious metal that was incredibly sharp from his storage.

Joanna who was guarding him as he took out materials and absorbed them, was shocked by this feather. "Tristan what is that metallic strip? It is striking fear within my heart!" She said with some panic.

Tristan nodded. Then his eyes glowed with a black color and the tattoo on his right hand came to life. Joanna who saw the tattoo for the first time was shocked.

The raven then flew out of Tristan's body and started nibbling small pieces out of the metallic feather. It kept nibbling and taking bites off until eventually the entire gigantic metallic feather had been consumed by the raven, which suddenly turned into a ball of black light and returned to Tristan's hand. Tristan could feel that the Sovereign Raven Tattoo had come to a bottleneck of the first plate. It could not evolve or grow more until Tristan became a twice evolved.

"I didn't realize the metallic essence in the feather was this potent, just one feather was enough to upgrade the totem to the peak of the first realm." Tristan said, before he looked at Joanna.

"Thanks for guarding me sis. I am done now. I feel a little stronger but I have much to do." He shook his head.

At that moment Joanna bit her lip as if she wanted to say something. "Tristan, I want to get stronger. I can't be weak like this and have you be in trouble all the time."

Tristan smiled. "Sis, each person has their own pace of growing. The important thing is the end point, right? If you want to grow faster, I can help you with resources. Take space ring I acquired. Don't show it to anyone, just bind it to your body with blood and the storage can directly be hidden on your skin.

I've left a lot of books on magic that I've discovered, you can learn from them. I've also left a lot of liquefied life essence and pure energy stones. As a mage and cultivator they will be extremely useful to you. Don't disclose their existence to others."

Joanna did as she was told, her eyes a little wet. "Younger Brother, I will definitely repay this debt. I will become stronger and help you."

Tristan nodded. As Joanna left, he began thinking how to evolve the body. He also needed combat experiences. He decided to see if the special community had anything to help him with.

Tristan did not fret. He looked at the contact of the principal who had told him to meet him in his office. He was free now and it was supposedly the principal's office hours and so went there.

Tristan walked through the administrative building to the basement to take the elevator as the instructions suggested and then the elevator went down for some time. Finally, Tristan walked out and found a corridor of ordinary clerical doors. The principal's office seemed like an ordinary clerical office room from the outside as well. Tristan knocked on the door and the principal opened it.

The inside of the office was nothing like how the other side of the door suggested. It was a high tech and very large condo like area, with different machines and libraries and all kinds of things.

Tristan entered and the principal smiled. "So you came. What do you need from me?"

Tristan thought for a moment. "Didn't you tell me you'd teach me to hide my presence completely?"

"Oh yes, oh yes. Well, my way of teaching is a little unorthodox. Are you sure you want to learn it?" The principal asked.

Tristan nodded. "That's why I came here."

The principal laughed. "Good, Good. Don't curse me later then, because I warned you. Here take this training mission I've assigned on the Academic Alliance."

"I haven't registered in the Academic Alliance yet." Tristan said.

"Oh, right. Take this token then and go to the first office on this floor. You can join the alliance as a trainee and do the training missions. I designed a special one for you, which you should complete. It will help you to train to hide your presence completely."
