Chapter 22: Disillusionment

A hand caresses my back as I lay in Torin's bed, contentedly exhausted. Thinking it's Torin, I turn over, surprised to find Zane sitting on the side of the bed. Not knowing what to do, I pull the covers over my breasts and rise to a sitting position. "Zane, hey." Zane gives me a sensual smile, moves closer, and kisses me in the mouth. At first, I respond to his kiss but quickly pull away. Even though he has seen every inch of me, and I've seen a great deal of him, something doesn't feel right. Zane gives me a long look then stands up. "Sorry about that, Sirena."
