'I can do this. All of that training was not for nothing.' Rielen tried to reassure herself. 'Who am I kidding?' The dark walls were starting to get to her. She had never been so cut off from the world. There was no network of plants to listen to, nor was there mana that filled everything.
They had chosen to go forward on the path in front of them. With each step they felt tense looking for traps. Rielen had to watch herself from holding her breath. This pathway felt eerie as they continued. The creaking noises didn't help her settle her nerves either.
All of the walls looked the same. She stared at them intently trying to see if they were going in circles.
Rielen wished she had made some light dust to light up where they had gone before. Her senses failed her when she tried to decipher if they had already passed a certain area for the sixth time.
