Eon opened his eyes to the same room he had seen briefly the last time he woke up. He looked over at the bed next to him, and saw it empty once again. The pain in his side was minimal, and his slight movement caught the eye of the Healer, Karla. She quickly checked his condition, and made notes in the journal she kept near his bed with the Royal Seal of Autra on it.
Eon's throat was dry as he tried to ask Karla a question. No sound came out of his throat, but Karla noticed his struggle, and helped him take a drink of water. "Don't speak," she told him. "Right now, you are recovering from the trauma, as well as the overload of foreign mana used to repair the worst of your injuries." He nodded, and took the sip of water, which seemed to help the feeling in his throat.
