A spark gleamed in the bird's golden eyes with an almost amused expression. Just as the bird vanshining above the clouds Juvel's eyes glanced up at the bird with an almost equally amused expression.
It was almost a shame the princess had not noticed the bird had been following them since they crossed the Soleil border.
The bird's eyes always following the princess as it guarded over the carriage from above.
The bird's speed increased as it dashed through the clouds. Enjoying its flight as if the sky was nothing but a play ground to it. Nearing the main city capital a small child playing outside gazed up in awe catching sight of the large bird. Smiling brightly the child waved widely at the bird. The mother who had been watching the girl glanced up before bowing her head respectfully.
A distance away the bird caught sight of it's distantion.
The bright Soleil palace, Standing brightly it's beauty seemed to stand out more as the sun's ray's shined down. Tall arches stood as the stained glass windows gleamed like gems, the walls seemed to be built from hard white stone with strecks of gold through it. Matching the interior of the palace built of gold marble. The roofs painted a gold color as a gold staute of a wing being stood on the top of the tallest tower overlooking the entire city. A beautiful garden and fountains stood surrounding the palace.
With a cry the bird circled the palace. It's eyes catching the palace garden workers quickly planting white roses in the royal family's garden. Eyes shining before it flew towards an open balcony.
Standing besides the doorway a tall dark blue haired man stood. His long hair pulled into a low pony wait with spiky bangs framing his face. Silver beads braided into the longer stands of bangs as several silver necklaces decorated his neck. Hearing the sound of the bird the man looked up shielding his saphire eyes as he smiled warmly. Slowly landing on the balcony the bird's body began to shift, growing larger as it shifted like a wild flame before the tall figure of a man emerged from it. As the flame grew smaller it was pulled back inside the Soleil crystal embedded into the man's gold cuff necklace.
A wide amused expression appearing on his face as his white hair shifted from the breeze. His golden eyes still gleaming in amusement with an almost fond smile. His golden tan skin seemed to gleam under the sun as sweat clinged to his shirtless form.
"You're magesty, how was your flight?"
"Lapis, I see the gardeners are almost done with the garden."
The emperor smiled muttering a thank you as he was handed a white silk rob by the blue haired man.
"Yes, they should be done just in time for the princess's arrival." Lapis responded with a closed eyed smile before walking to the tea set he had arranged on the emperor's desk. With a chuckle the emperor sat down in his sat smiling softly as his friend handed him the cup of tea. He hummed in satisfaction as fresh taste of Peppermint touching his taste buds.
"So how was she? The princess. You were already gone before for the sun even rose, I'm sure you were waiting for them at the borderline for quite a long time." Lapis said giving the emperor a knowing look as the white haired man let out a sigh running his fingers through his hair.
"She was ...interesting. But it was more for her safety that I went to wait for them there."
"Then why send Juvel in the first place then? It felt rather strange that you sent him so very last minute."
With a frown the emperor glanced to the side spotting a single gold king's chess piece. Gently grasping it he smoothly rubbed his finger on the tip of the crowd's piece.
"There's already a rat still lurking around. The princess's safety is my main priority as emperor."
