This morning, I woke up early and chose to stroll around the shack because I was bored. As expected, this shack doesn't have anything special to it. It's just a normal hunter's shack.
Right now, Rei is still sleeping on the bed. I look at her from outside the shack through the window.
As I look at her, I'm thinking of a plan to meet the villainess. At first, I was planning to get on Rei's good side, so she can help me to meet the villainess. But, with her condition now, there is a high chance I'm going to meet more trouble by bringing her there.
As of now, my identity is a spy who was sent to this kingdom by the human side. My identity is dangerous, enough, and if I suddenly bring a future ruler of the Snow Moon Kingdom who is now dumb,
'That's just me asking to get beheaded.' I sigh. This mission is off to a really bad start.
The villainess this time is also a future ruler of Cold Moon Kingdom. She is a ruthless princess who is famous for her intelligence, and deception ability.
Her name is Luna Ravinar. Right now, King Ravinar, her father is on a sickbed. So, Luna is the one who deals with the kingdom affair.
"She is a great future ruler, too bad, she is deemed to be a villainess and has a cruel destruction end." I let out a sigh.
And I somehow know the reason as to why she become like that. I glance at the still sleeping Rei on the bed.
"Her death..." I mumble.
It's not that shocking to me. Cannon fodder sometimes has a bigger effect on certain situations. Like Rei, her death maddened Luna who is her fiancee.
But, the reason is not that Luna loves Rei. There's a political reason behind her actions. It's related to the one who planned the assassination in the first place.
The plot of this world is simply about the heroine who just likes me, working as a spy. She is somehow caught in the struggle of power between kingdoms.
After the death of the next ruler of the Snow Moon Kingdom, the new candidate, which is the male lead appears. He is younger by a year than Rei. The heroine who is a spy once saved the male lead. But, she is somehow got bitten by him and so, she is forced to become his servant.
After many struggles, the heroine finally can break free from the male lead's control. She then runs away to the neighbour kingdom which is the Cold moon kingdom. Over there, she meets with the villainess.
Then, happen many series of misunderstandings, betrayal, fake death, pregnancy, abortion, assassination attempts, yadda yadda.
I can't help but feel annoyed. 'So many things that shouldn't even be related to my missions keep coming into my knowledge. It was as if they want me to get into contact with this troublesome information.'
I sigh before sitting on the ground. In this forest, the big tree surrounding the space gives me a sense of nostalgia. It reminds me of the time when I used to be an adventurer, adventuring with my sister, the princess and her team of adventurers.
Then I lie down on the ground. Using my hand as a pillow, I stare at the green leaves on the trees. The light from the sun appears between the leaves creating majestic looking rays of light.
Our first meeting is also in the forest like this. I let out a soft sigh before closing my eyes.
Usually, when I'm annoyed, I like to lie down like this.
I lie down comfortably until I hear Rei calling me. That's right, Rei knows how to call me now after many attempts from me trying to teach her how to pronounce my name.
"Valley.....! Valley... Hungrey!"
Of course, I failed to teach her the correct wording. I get up from the ground and pat my back from the dust before walking inside the shack.
"VALLEY!!" Rei hurriedly runs towards me and hugs me. "HUNGREY!!!" She repeats while making a pitiful expression.
"..." I taught Rei to call me Violette. But, I guess the name might be too hard for her to pronounce and so, she keeps calling me Valley.
"Sit first!" I tell her. And she follows my order properly. I smile. 'At least she's obedient."
When I woke up this morning, I didn't just walk around the shack, I also use this chance to turn into my werewolf form and hunt for a short moment. I manage to catch two hares. Both hares have big sizes and they are the same size as my torso.
When I look at my werewolf form, I realize that my wolf form has small stature. My form is smaller than the two assassins I killed yesterday. I guess this should be expected as humans who turned into werewolves usually act as a servant and helpers rather than fight.
This form also shows that I'm very low on the hierarchy.
Anyway, I caught two hares. Both hares have big sizes. They are as big as my torso.
After I caught them, I bought a cooking service from the system's mall. It's pretty cheap if we provide the ingredients ourselves.
I give one serving of hare to Rei. She drools when she sees the plate of hare meat for her. With light in her eyes, she quickly turned into her werewolf form and start eating.
At first, I feel weird as to why she liked to turn into her wolf form. Last night, she ripped off the clothes I gave her three times in a row as she keeps turning into a wolf.
Lastly, when I gave up, I just give her her fur cloak back. Only then does she sleep like a human.
This time, she start to eat like an animal. My theory is that because her human side is having trouble with basic human knowledge, she must be relying on her instinct as a wolf.
I keep eating while staring at her. Her wolf form compared to me is like comparing a normal-sized wolf to a wolf the size of moose.
Her wolf form is abnormally big, unlike normal wolves. Most royalties are like this.
After Rei finished eating, she licks the plate until it becomes squeaky clean. When there is no more leftover on her plate, she stares at mine. Then she whimpers. She's looking up at me while pushing her plate towards me.
I roll my eyes before putting some of my portions on her plate. Then, Rei smiles again and continues eating with gusto.
After we both finish eating, I walk back outside of the shack while Rei who is still in her wolf form is also following me. I want Rei to stay hidden for her safety but, at the same time, I also want to stimulate her so, she can quickly grow into her former self.
Her healing ability doesn't have any effect on her memories despite the use of the quickening effect. The poison was able to affect her memories and she is lucky to even be able to breathe right now.
I was able to suppress and removed the poison, but her memories will take time for it to return.
Anyway, that's not something that I can control. So, right now I need a new plan to get the chance to meet with the villainess.
I let out a soft sigh. I can use the map to search for the heroine and use her luck, or should I say, bad luck to meet the important figure of this world.
I was about to open the map when Rei bump me on my shoulder with her head. I look up at her furry face. She looks at me for a few seconds before gesturing her head in a certain direction.
I look in that direction only to see an injured woman walking in our direction not far from us.
She seems to realise our presence and she looks shocked when she sees Rei and me standing together.
I stare at her injuries with a frown. Especially at her shoulder. It seems to be a bite wound.
I was about to walk toward her when she passed out not far from us. Suddenly, the ball appears and notifies me that-
