Chapter 16 - Chapter 15: Prevention Is Better Than Cure

Xian couldn't help but stare at the scenery in front of him. His Queen's hair is softly blown by the air as the ray of light from outside shines toward him giving him a perfect scenery that can only be found in a movie.

Aizel notices that someone is staring at him. He looked at the direction where the stare was coming from only to find Xian looking at him with an unbelieving look on his face.

" You're majesty, is something wrong?" Aizel asked.

" Nothing, I'm just trying to admire the scenery before me. I never thought that I would see a movie scene with real life effects. " Xian answered, obviously throwing all the logic outside the window.

Aizel looked at the king confused. His majesty once again said something he doesn't understand but thinking about what happened back then Aizel decided not to ask.

Xian walked toward his queen and hugged him, kissing his cheeks.

"My Queen, I have talked to your brother earlier, I told him to lead some soldiers to subdue the bandits with you by his side. I will give you the right to go in and out of the palace whenever you like. I will also give you back the title of General, you would be able to hold your sword again, train soldiers, and most of all go to the front lines and defend our kingdom. I have high expectations from you "

Aizel was surprised at what his majesty just said. He knew that he would be going with his brother but he didn't know that he would be getting his title back, and also his rights as a general.

Looking at his Queen's shocked face, Xian couldn't help but smile. He has been planning to give his Queen's title back for quite some time, unfortunately he couldn't find the right moment, but now that this issue about the bandits has come, there's no more perfect time than this one.

Xian stayed at the Rece's Palace for about an hour and a half before heading towards his office.

Dispatching another general to subdue the bandits needs a lot of work, not to mention he had chosen he's queen's family. Many of the ministers are against this action, giving him reasons such as Lionel being young and still inexperienced, or his queen being a consort and how a consort should not hold a sword. Xian has managed to shut them up somehow, but he knows this isn't the end of this.

Sighing Xian leaned back to his chair. There was too much work to be done with too little time. He really needs to play his A game in order to survive in this world, not to mention until now he hasn't figured out how in the world he could activate his magic. He has read every book and record he can, still there on use, he still doesn't have any idea how to activate his magic.

According to the texts, to be able to activate a royalty's magic they needed some sort of a medium and only then they would be able to trigger their Magic to show itself. He looked at the history of the royalties and how they managed to activate their magic and what their medium was but they only gave vague descriptions and the ' medium' they were talking about is different from one royalty to the other. Some have a pen for their medium, some have a sword, others have a bow, there's even a pan!

Xian ruffles his hair in frustration. Right now he needs to focus on the bandits the prices on the capital are rising higher and higher and the people are starting to protest, though it can still be handled for now but if this continues it will be a huge mess to clean and Xian doesn't want to do that, like they said prevention is better than cure.

Hearing the noise of knocking from his window Xian stood up and opened it only to find a dove carrying a letter.

Speaking of prevention. Xian thought as he read the letter and burned it down on the candle.

" Now Let us start the game."
