It's been a month since Xian had been transmitted over to this world as its king and so far he manages to clean up half of the original's mess in the court. Still a complete clean up in a very short period of time is impossible, even for Xian but at least he manages to form a rather good relationship with his queen.
Lately his queen and him have been on very good terms. It couldn't be said that it's in a romantic way but rather it's somewhat like a friendship kind of way. Though he had been sleeping and eating in his queen's Palace and they have a couple of nighty activities from time to time but Xian isn't quite confident to say that his queen have fallen for him, not to mention Xian never been in love before though he have been in a few relationships in the past it was either purely sexual or one sided.
Looking at the clowns mumbling in front of him Xian couldn't help but massage his temple. It was truly annoying, these old geezers keep on ranting about this and that like they haven't got any brain to solve the problem on their own.
If he remembers correctly the problem is bandits blocking the trading routes causing a huge price hike in the capital. It was supposed to be a very easy case but when they dispatched the soldiers they never expected that the bandits have some magic weapons in their hand causing the mission to fail, killing half of the soldiers while the other half either be badly injured or in critical condition.
" Silence!" Xian shouted as he couldn't take the useless rants and comments in front of them.
Hearing Xian's loud voice, silence finally covered the court. The ministers could help but bow down their heads in fear of his majesty's rage.
Xian once again looked at the bunch of old geezers in front of him.
" How come no one knows that the bandits have magic weapons in their hands?! Not to mention a high quality as a matter of fact! Didn't you scout the place when you decided to attack them?! How the f*ck does none of you know that the bandits have weapons?! " Xian said furiously.
Who wouldn't be in rage from what happened? Hundreds of his soldiers are either dead or injured and instead of doing something about it. These people keep on passing the blame from one person to another, wasting the time they have in some useless bickering instead of making a plan to salvage the situation.
Xian admits that he's not really proficient in this kind of field. He came from a peaceful country with no wars. He really needs someone to talk about these kinds of things, but in the current situation Xian still doesn't know the friends from the foe.
Suddenly a light flashes in his head, then he looks at the man that's in his late forties, and then a small smile appears on his lips.
After the messy court meeting, Xian asked General Kinsley to stay. The general was shocked but still he obediently remained.
" General, mind going with me for a walk?" Xian asked, smiling as if he wasn't angry a few minutes ago.
Though the smile on his majesty's lips are bright and somewhat pure, somehow General Kinsley felt it seems to be somewhat mischievous.
If Xian manages to read what's on the general's mind he would undoubtedly say with a very bright smile. 'My, My father in law, how could you accuse your son in law like that? What mischief would someone like me do to you? How could I? Aren't I your son in law?'
However, Xian doesn't have the ability to read people's minds so he continues to smile towards the general. As they walked for a while they managed to reach a certain place. General Kinsley must have recognized the place, because the moment he sees where they are his face turns pale as his throat suddenly dries up.
What were they doing at his son's place? How come his majesty takes him to his son's Palace? Does he have some hidden agenda or perhaps something happened to his son?
As they go closer and closer to his son's residence General Kinsley turns paler and paler. How come his son is not greeting the king? How come he's not waiting outside to his majesty's arrival?
Many questions started to run into the General's mind but one thing is certain, if worst comes to worst he would just quit his job and pass it down to his son and if it's not enough he would also beg his majesty to ask him a favor for his achievements in the military. His position and pride is nothing compared to his son's wellbeing, he is more than willing to throw those away outside of the window.
General Kinsley may have prepared for the worst but opposite to what he had guessed, he was shocked and frightened when they entered his son's dwelling, there was his son reading comfortably when his majesty suddenly hugged him from behind and kissed his son on the cheeks.
He doesn't really know what's happening, he was struck there dumbfounded.
What the hell is happening here?!
