As an outsider I can move without catching any attention from the thugs around this area.
Well, at least that's what I'm hoping is true.
In reality it's possible that I can be attacked at any moment, I never really cared to learn to fight so I'm probably a goner in the face of danger here.
I decided to rely on the most trustworthy person I know. Hopefully he won't just see it as a bother, though I am prepared if that is the case.
Yesterday I spoke to a royal guard, I had to use my family's name to get him to deliver a message for me.
"Please tell [ Shirone The Demon Of Dawn ] that Sadako Gravestone is in need of assistance involving taking down a crime boss. Please tell him to meet me at the Moth Head tomorrow night at exactly 9."
"Yes may'am!"
The guard straightened up the moment he heard me say my last name. Weird. Did my father not announce the fact that I had been exiled? If that's the case then I still have a chance to prove myself right?
Well, whatever. That aside, this whole thing should be wrapped up pretty quickly provided if Shirone is willing to help in this matter.
Though, if he doesn't meet me at 9 then I'll have to go with plan B. I really don't want to do plan B, there is a high chance of being hurt or even dying. I do feel that I'm the only one in this particular situation that can help though.
For now I decided to identify this Minc guy and track his movements during the day. I waited in the background in the Moth Head until Drago finally gave the signal.
Moments later a guy in a black hat with a really long brim and a black suit walked in with a cocky attitude. He couldn't have looked more like a bad guy if he even tried. There were 6 brutes behind him wearing dreadful faces.
These were the guys that made me not want to check this place out at first, which means their presence is possibly hurting the business as well.
I mean, since they're stealing 90% of the income they probably don't give a damn about scaring off any potential customers.
These guys are the definition of scum.
"Pharmel Moth!!! Do you care to explain the presence of those buffoon guards out there!?"
He must be talking about the royal guards I gathered to patrol this area today. Yeah, I figured that would shake out the trash pretty quickly.
Last night I met Pharmel, we discussed the plans I have. I found out that Minc comes in about this time [ 9 ] to collect his 'share' of the total cash made by the tavern that day.
Unfortunately, Shirone still hasn't shown his face yet. I've become anxious as I prepared to act out plan B. This really is truly unfortunate.
"The guards are possibly just on patrol, there's nothing I can do about that."
Pharmel answered Minc's earlier question.
"Patrol huh? Well, I still expect you will honor our agreement?"
Villain! Villainous I say!
I'm currently hiding under the deck, I'm totally out of sight from Minc and his crew. I'm about to call the guards, there's only 3 of them and they're all a bit…well, I hope I can rely on them not to die at least.
There's Minc and his 6 tough guy's inside. 3 guards probably can't do a lot against those numbers, especially when there's even more guys at Minc's warehouse. But I'm hoping they can at the very least contain the situation.
All of the customers were ordered to leave with a full refund promised, so the only only ones in danger here are the criminals, the guards, Pharmel, me and the hostage(s)
That's where I'm headed now is Minc's warehouse, I'm currently engaged in plan B. Time is moving really fast.
Minc will be disappointed to find the small amount of money that Pharmel will be presenting. He is a full 16 gold coins short tonight after all.
Although, thanks to that price his daughter no longer has those horrific burns.
Pharmel gladly gave me the money for the Flaria bud and the healing ointment. I was washed with a sense of relief when Saremel's burns started healing. I had crushed the bud up and mixed it into the ointment and spread it on her wounds.
The scene was unreal, like her normal skin grew where the burns were. It was a sight that you would have to see to believe.
The Moth Head was already out of sight, the roads in town became harder to see with night time being at hand.
Right now, I'm heading for Minc's warehouse where there are a heck of a lot of muscle head bad guy's hanging out. Earlier I followed Minc here. I scoped the place out and spotted an air duct and a window that leads directly into the basement.
A flaw in the security so simple but literally anyone with a small frame can enter this warehouse undetected with this. They must either have an unlimited faith in their defenses or they're just stupid.
Probably the latter. Either that or I'm stupid. That's possible too.
I'm 9 years old now so I fit easily through this window, the problem is that drop down to the floor there.
You see...
I'm not a fan of falling from hights, and this is a pretty good hight. At least 15 feet.
I'm dangling there for a moment, but then I heard a creaking muffled sound behind me. I was startled and lost my grip, I fell and landed right on my back.
Owieee. ;-;
Oh dang. That's a death flag right? It totally is.
I quickly jumped up to my feet and turned behind me. It's just dark, really hard to see to be honest. Just then I heard more movement and a muffled mumble from around the corner.
I move like a cat. Exactly like a cat. I am the night itself. I am the wind. I stumbled into a shelf and knocked some stuff over.
Oops.
I totally just gave away my position didn't I? Oh dang.
However, nothing happened. Moreover, when I stepped a bit closer I saw a girl tied to a chair. She had a bandana wrapped around her mouth and was trying to talk but I couldn't hear anything she was saying.
"-Its okay, I'm gonna get you out of here.-"
