Elliot opened his eyes and he saw the sun peeking at the horizon, small amounts of sun rays had already started to heat and light up the atmosphere and depicted a magnificent scene in front of Elliot, the type of scenes you could see only in paintings !
He looked behind him and all the kids sere still sleeping quietly, since they would wake up soon Elliot stood up and disappeared on the spot, he searched the fields around the village and found abandoned farms.
When he heard from the kids that their village gave away half their crops every year to the baron he knew that they would have fields and as expected he found vegetables planted everywhere, although some of them looked really weird and he had never seen them before, there were still potatoes, carrots, onions and other stuff that existed on earth.
On top of that he also found fruits hanging on trees, he guessed the weird fruits were also edible since this village cultivated them but he didn't want to try them now and so just picked apples, oranges and peaches.
He picked up a quantity that he felt would be enough to feed the kids, went back to the village and started hurrying to make them breakfast. The menu was a vegetables stew brewed together with yesterday's leftover meat, the kids didn't have a big enough stomach and the bull wasn't even half eaten yet.
Half an hour later the most active kids started waking up one by one and went to Elliot.
"Big brother Elliot you're already up ?"
"Haha yes I usually wake up early, why did you wake up so early ?"
"Hehe... I smelt the food."
The kid smiled cheekily and scratched the back of his head which made Elliot laugh, kids were such innocent creatures. They could grow into bad people but at the moment everyone of them was still good and so Elliot decided to take care of them.
Elliot picked up a plate and filled it to the brim for the kid who took it happily and started chugging it down, Elliot looked at the sun that had already rose beyond the horizon and decided to wake up everyone, he walked in the house and started gently waking the kids up one by one.

Half an hour later everyone was awake and started eating their breakfast in a good mood, after the adults had been abducted everyone's mood had hit rock bottom but since Elliot came they all started feeling better, that was the power of good food !
The meat was of superior quality and Elliot was a good cook so the dishes couldn't be bad, Elliot had cooked a lot since he was a kid when his dad came home tired or worked late, in the last few years he was always the one on cooking duty at home and so had started trying lots of stuff to make tasty food with not much. Although he found only salt in this village he still made a delicious breakfast for the kids.
Finally he gave everyone a glass of fruit juice he had pressed using his bare hands, he had became so strong that pressing an orange was as easy as blinking.
Finally when all the kids and him had eaten their full he finally said
"I'll be leaving today."
All of the kids felt their hearts tighten and when he saw their faces he realized he made a mistake.
"I'm leaving to save the villagers, I'm not leaving you all."
Some of the kids who had gotten completely attached to him couldn't help but run to hug him while crying.
"Don't leave us alone big brother Elliot ! Ouinnn~"
"Don't worry guys I'll be back very soon with all the adults."
He also felt like crying, these kids had been through a lot and so they very quickly got attached to him when he came and helped them. He had brought with him the confort they had lost after the adults left and the kids couldn't help but rely on him.
"Alex, which way is the Baron's castle ?"
Alex didn't say anything and pointed his hand towards the back of the mayor's house, as Elliot suddenly disappeared from the spot he said
"Alright I'll be going, you better take good care of everyone else !"
"I will ! Be careful."
Alex answered but it was already too late Elliot wasn't standing there anymore, Alex then bought everyone back inside the house and stood guard with the other boys around it as they usually did, for the first time since the adults had disappeared Alex had a smile on his face.

Elliot moved at such a high speed that a few minutes later he was already able to see high walls in the distance, that must be the town surrounding the castle. Of course a lord wouldn't live in a castle in the middle of nowhere but in a town, Elliot wasn't able to judge the size of the town from such a distance but he could tell it definitely wasn't small, it must have even been as big as a small city instead of a town.
He stopped and put on a long brown cape that he had taken from a house inside the village and started walking towards the town, nobody knew him yet but his face would spread like wildfire after he killed a noble, at first he didn't want to kill him and free the other people sneakily but he realized his plan had a flaw, that rotten noble wouldn't let them leave so easily of course. He would probably catch them again after Elliot was freed from his quest and so Elliot decided to eliminate him to eradicate any future threat for the village.
When he arrived in front of the gates Elliot was greeted by two guards slacking off and playing cards together and saw a bunch of people going in and out as they wished and so followed them in, on earth he would definitely attract attention by being dressed like this but here there were quite a few people wearing hooded robes and it was quite a common sight.
