As King Alfred II of Albarez looked relieved and amazed at the same time, the man who single-handedly placed holes in the invading army came close to him and extended his hand…
A smile was slightly peeked on his lips and uttered,"so… uh… do I get a chicken dinner?"
Lost for words, the king immediately stood up,"Young lad, after saving my kingdom you don't just deserve chicken for dinner! We shall have a feast!" The king looked around, seeing that most of his people are in shumbles, sheepishly said,"well, ofcourse after we get to tidy things up in here. Please, come with me in the palace, let my men make you feel a bit comfortable."
"Yes. Ofcourse… tend to your people first." Joe went with the attendants from the king scanned his surroundings.
------------------------------------
Joe was then provided a place to stay in inside the palace of Albarez. Upon arriving, he thought to himself, "Its really happening huh…"
Acording to Freyah, once the champion is inserted into the Evergreen, all communications between the gods and their champions will be cut off. This was decided by the overseers to avoid gods providing assistance to their champions along the way.
"Once you get in there, you must turn the kingdom to your will. You need the kingdom to go on conquest and rule over the others." Freyah said.
"Sigh… Freyah may have had the general idea right, but… it was never as easy as that. Such a nood goddess." Joe was thinking very hard as how troublesome it will be. Luckily for him, he came in Albarez exactly when they needed a savior. "That was such a grea luck!" Joe faintly smiled as how lucky he was to become the kingdom's savior just by arriving at that exact moment.
If Joe was sent in the kingdom under other circumstances, his options in order to rally the kingdom to war against other kingdoms may have been difficult. Firstly, he needed to become influential enough to advice the king and to rally the people. But as the hero, he was able to immediately showcase himself to everyone.
"I got this!" Joe thought to himself.
For Joe, what he immediately needed to understand is his won abilities.
"To know your own pros and cons is the ideal start for every battle"
Joe needed to understand what were the strengths and limitations of his ability as set by the system.
"I may have chosen the skills that I see fit for me, but if the system tells that it is OP, they might have lessen some of its effect." Joe was worried that the skills may have been given long cool down or poor damage.
Remembering what Freyah said…
Freyah: "Oh by the way, once you get their, you can recite the chant 'introduction' once. This will call upon an introduction of your skills and their specific details. No information will be provided other than that, which means, you have to do the manual work to know the people and how the world works in there. It's like playing a survival game where you knew nothing of the world you're at. Okay? Good luck! Win this for me.. I mean us...kay?"She was grinning all to her ear and putting all her confidence to the man who defeated her in every way inside the BRR game.
"Sigh…..introductiion."
Suddenly, a screen appeared infront of him and started discussing his abilities for the battle.
"I only get to hear the details once, so I have to learn everything."
Skills:
1. Gamer's body: Passive skills (2 points)
Allows Joe to have a game-avatar like body.
Having this ability, Joe gets to know the status of his body in a numerical value through a status window always present in his view.
HP: 100
DEX:67
STR:86
INT:78
Avatar Status: Normal
Fatigue: 0%
He was generally happy with what he is seeing. To his disappointment however, there seems to be no way to level up the skills. The general stats HP, DEX, STR and INT were also something improved thru manual labor/physical exercise and not by experience points.
"Experience points would have been a lot better… sigh… I guess that's asking for too much huh.."
The skill also allows him to view other people/beasts with a name on top of their heads with their corresponding level. The downside however is, he must first know their names in order for him know their level. "Ugh!!! I was hoping I'd be ale to know everyone immediately through this too… too bad man!!!!!"
2. Inventory (1 point)
Allows Joe to summon an inventory slot as storage of items.
Chant: "Open Inventory / Close Inventory"
A spatial storage. Anything you put inside will freeze in time. Downside, it can only house non-living items.
3. BRR Store (1 point)
Allows Joe to access and purchase BRR game store using gold coins from Evergreen.
Chant: "I call unto thee to draw out power against my enemy."
The store is exactly the same as the game store of BRR. It also has the "on sale" and "lucky spin" function.
The lucky slot function provides a free spin each day in the BRR store, luckily for Joe, at his arrival in Evergreen, he got a free spin and won a AK-47. Otherwise, he would have fought those soldiers with his bare hands.
Tok! Tok! Tok!
Someone started knocking on the door, and then…
"Sir Joe, the king is waiting for you at the banquet…. We are here to accompany you…"
ImmediatelyJoe stood up and calmly opened the door, ready to face the king and the people wearing his dignified suit provided by the king.
"Let's go meet the king then.."
