"CEO of another corporation? What for?"
Denzel sighed. "Apparently, my mom scheduled us a meal together."
Sharmaine looked at him confused. What's so wrong about dinner or lunch with another CEO of another corporation? Isn't that a good thing—for the company to make allies?
"Then, you could drink your coffee now and eat the rest later," she said as she reached out for her own coffee and sandwich. The silent atmosphere made its way back to the office. Suddenly, the phone rang amidst the silence.
"Hello? Ah, yes. We'll be on our way," she ended the call and turned towards Denzel, "The driver's there. Do you need help with anything?"
Denzel did not reply; simply, he stood up, confidence towering over his magnificent figure.
"Shall I bring your food down?" she asked.
Sharmaine hurried downstairs to give the snacks to the driver, for she thought that there was no place for her to come. By the time she turned around to return to the office, she was greeted by the terrible presence of Denzel.
"Who says you're not coming? You're coming with me," he said, making Sharmaine feel the sudden confusion. She wanted to ask why but was cut of by him again.
" You have to come and meet her secretary as well."
"But I am just an assistant."
"You're still my secretary, plus the old one quit, so you're my secretary now." He said it in a way that made it fall smoothly. There was too much information Sharmaine received—too much for her to grasp all at once.
"Let's go. I don't want to be late."

Thirty minutes later, they arrived at the restaurant. It was huge and grand, almost like the one they went to when Sharmaine had lunch with her boss during her first day. They were respectfully escorted by male employees, which lead them to the other CEO's reserved table.
The woman was a stunning lady, both in appearance and in attitude. She wore a tight-fitting dress that accentuated her curves and laid down her brown wavy hair. She was like a living goddess from the heavens, though when she glanced at her secretary, she couldn't help but notice a familiar aura around her. The secretary, who stood beside the other CEO and introduced herself as Claire Lim, had a long round face with fair skin-tone and almond eyes. She also had long straight hair which she wore down and was clad in a black and white uniform.
After brief greetings, the two secretaries were sent a few meters away from the table—a distance far enough that the CEO's could see them while not being a distraction.
Sharmaine stared closely to the woman beside her and wondered how odd it was that she could recognize her face. She scanned her a little closer, but not too close that she would be considered as a creep.
"Have we meet before?" Sharmaine blurted out.
The secretary jolted after hearing the sudden question from the person beside her. She looked at Sharmaine for a minute and replied.
"I don't think so, why?" she smiled.
"Ahh, my bad. I thought I have seen you somewhere." Sharmaine let out an awkward laugh as she tried to take a closer look.
"F-Freckles?"
