Chapter 3 - Good riddance!

Meanwhile, the previously desolate and empty headquarters of the Lone Star Organization became lively once again. It's followers and members were visibly stunned as soon as they returned to their base.

The entirety of their base was made out of refined obsidian which is one of, if not the hardest material to be found on Xingfu continent. Only the strongest of cultivators could cause it to split and crumble under their might. Despite that, not a single wall was left without cracks or crevices. Dust and wreckage was to be found in every single alleyway.

However, none of them knew what caused their headquarters to shake and rumble as it did. They could only resort to guessing and gossiping amongst themselves while following the orders of their superiors.

Maybe the grand elders got into a fight again? Aiya!

The grand elders are too formidable!

Most of the members were sent back outside to scout the surroundings, while others were ordered to search and skim through every single corridor of the building. But even then, nobody was told what they were looking for, making the task at hand extremely difficult to fulfill.

It was at that instant, that the infamous Lone Star Organization was thrown into chaos.

….

In the main hall sat several senior figures, each of which had complicated looks on their faces. Amongst them was a man walking to and fro, his expression extremely grave. The atmosphere was exceedingly tense. None of them dared to speak up.

It was only after a while that the man pacing around stopped in his tracks and spoke up.

"Wan Du, assist the scouts on the outside. Zhua Mei and Wu Ya, split up and see if there's any leads on his whereabouts inside the base. The others will stabilize and fix the building." he paused before adding, "Don't come back until you found him, even if it costs you an arm and a leg." Commander Mo's tone was harsh and left no place for negotiation. A slight pressure emanated from his body and pressed down on them, causing their faces to show trances of panic. All of them took their leave immediately.

Only then did Commander Mo take a seat.

His body was quite lean but still fit, and his face was no less handsome than that of Zhu Yu. While Zhu Yu's face is pleasing to look at, Commander Mo's looks are rather enchanting.

If Zhu Yu was a white lotus flower, then Commander Mo was a black magnolia.

Two complete opposites.

He wore a black hanfu and on his waist hung what seemed to be a sword wrapped in cloth. Nobody could tell what it looked like and it's aura was completely cut off, allowing no one any insight.

His murderous aura subsided bit by bit, and the grave expression on his face had been replaced by amusement.

"Let's see how far you can get, Lu Shui."
